This is an easy cleansing to follow. Great ideas for the protien shakes, or smoothies, and knowing that you could eat as much as you wanted was a positive bonus. I lost 20 lbs in 23 days, although that seems a bit extreme, keep in mind that this is not weight loss diet, it is a Super Cleanse, getting rid of waste that had been building up, and of course weight loss too because of eating healthier. After the 21 days, I found a new appreciation for healthier eating, and have never felt better in years, my friend did it and lost 12 lbs, and also thought it was quite simple to follow. I added excercise in week 2, and weight training at the end of week 2, perhaps that added to my success with my weight loss. I would highly recommend this to anyone, that just wants a kick start to any diet, or help with a healthier eating plan.

I took the dairy-free version of this cleanse.
I know this is a highly regarded manufacturer with pretty impeccable manufacturing processes. And for those people who have very few allergies or food sensitivities, this will probably work very well. However, there are a LOT of ingredients in these products, and if you are sensitive, you may have a very difficult time, and since there are so many ingredients, you’ll never be able to tell what might be bothering you if there’s a problem.
I took the products for 3 days, during which I immediately had an itchy throat after every shake, and on the third day, I developed hives on my torso. I’ve had a lot of experience with cleanses and Herxheimer reactions. This was not that–this was a potentially dangerous allergic reaction to whatever might be in this. The powder contains soy lecithin, for example, which Standard Process claims to generally not bother people with soy allergies. I tried to take them at their word, but I have a pretty intense soy sensitivity, and I’ve sometimes had other issues with soy lecithin, so I think this was one of the many ingredients that gave me a hard time.
They also dance around the possibility of being gluten-free. There’s a very high chance there is gluten contamination from their processing methods.
This bundle of supplements is just too expensive to risk spending money on if you have allergies/sensitivities. I wish I hadn’t.
my thoughts –
I had trouble on this process from day one. I was hard put to eat everything that was suggested as I was full. I was also very bound up (so to speak) where I normally am not. I will try this again or will continue I should say as I was unable to stay on it more than a week. It worked for husband. He lost weight where I did not. His LDL numbers came down over 20 points. And he felt great! So I will give it another chance.
Tunamuffin –
I tried this in Sept. I have to admit I was doing it for weight loss – not purification per se, so I drank filtered tap water and ate non organic vegetables. I lost about 10 pounds. I never felt hungry or deprived (surprisingly). In the process I noticed several things:
1) I was a dedicated coffee drinker (2 lattes every AM plus an occasional cup later in the day). Gave them up cold turkey and realized I felt brighter (anyone want a superautomatic coffee machine?). I have had 1 cup since and didn’t like the way I felt at all. Now I drink tea (and if anyone had told me this would be the case a year ago I would have laughed at them).
2) I thought I would really miss the starches but I cut out white foods (bread, potatoes, rice, etc) and I have continued a slow weight loss without really working at it (and not missing them too much) Yes, I do occasionally have a piece of bread with dinner, rice or some crackers but I monitor the portions. I try to eat brown rice, lentils and quinoa instead.
3) I eat so many more vegetables than ever before and I love it!!!! The only downside is the amount of time I spend cooking (although I do enjoy it, it has really consumed my evenings).
I added Udo’s oil ( Udo’s Choice Oil 3.6.9 Blend 32-Ounce Glass Bottle ) as a fat supplement (Omega 3-6-9 non fish so no sushi burps!) and I noticed a change in my skin (much softer) so I can only imagine what it is doing for my insides!
I continue to drink a shake every AM made with the SP Complete powder and take 2 SP green pills twice a day (as well as Catalyn) I look forward to doing the purification diet in another few months!

If you follow the 21 day protocol and have 2-3 shakes a day, one container of SP Complete is not enough to finish the program. Recommend buying another one separately because you get enough of the supplements and the kit is expensive. Other than that, the process works great, is easy to adapt to, I was never hungry, and had positive results. Weigh less and feel great, who doesn’t want that?!

I just could not get into the diet plan and the taste. I didn’t last two or three days. My stomach ached and I felt bloated and horrible which apparently is what you are supposed to feel but as someone who deals with that regularly, I just wasn’t willing to put up with knowing that I was intentionally making my stomach hurt.
