I used these empty capsules to hold several medications my elderly cat needed to take twice a day. It was way easier to get her medications in her by using these capsules and I’m grateful to the vet who taught me this trick. These are a little large for a cat, but she had one very large pill so I needed a big size and she could swallow them ok with a water chaser. This was a very helpful product for my needs.

Perfect for my needs. I was also able to cut them shorter easily, when I had to make some smaller pills so my little dog could take them easily.
*** If you have pups, this is a GREAT way to get them to take bitter pills, like Tramadol (while my dog recovered my surgery). Cut down to the size you need (I bough this size gel cap because it fit the width of a half-Tramadol pill perfectly, but cut them shorter because it was easier for my dog to swallow), put a little peanut butter or cheese around the gel cap, and these work like a charm with my pup.

Our dog has a prescription medication that she needs to take twice a day and she HATES the smell/taste of the pill. We tried everything under the sun to get her to take the pill (peanut butter, raw egg, butter, bacon, cheese, pepperoni, liverwurst, etc.) and she would refuse it all. I finally bought these empty capsules and I just stuff her other pill inside. She can’t smell the original pill through the casing, so she takes it no problem. I kind of wish it came in a smaller package, just because it will take us forever to use all of these, but they were inexpensive enough that it doesn’t really matter.

This is our 3rd order of empty capsules. They are used to make home made turmeric capsules as commercially available turmeric capsules are too large for wife to swallow. We use a commercially available home assembly jig for filling and closing the capsules.
