I’m really on the fence with this product. I’ve taken it for over 2 months and my vitamin D levels have only increased about 5 points. Whether it’s the product itself or the way my body processes vitamin D remains to be seen. I’ve started a different D3 with K2 and should know in another 3 months if it’s the product or my body.

I’ve tried many D3 and D3+K2 supplements in the past couple years, especially the latter, because I’ve discovered that it’s likely better to take D3 along with K2 due to its promotion of K2-dependent proteins that require K2 to function properly (research is ongoing). While I’m not personally concerned about lack of calcium intake, some competing products include it because D3 and K2 help ensure that it’s properly deposited in bones. To compensate for this lack of K2, I had been consuming separate products, such as Complete K from a Norwegian label called Supersmart, which provides both K1 and K2. The math to determine the appropriate ratio of D3:K2 is simple, but it’s convenient to consume both from the same product. The standard dosage of D3 is 125mcg (5000 IU), and the standard dosage of K2 is 100mcg. Interestingly, this Naturalis product doesn’t provide the appropriate ratio of D3:K2, even though it provides the standard dosage of D3. The dosage of K2 is 120mcg instead, and no explanation is provided in the product description here. The positive differentiators of this product, however, are the D3 and K2 sources. Respectively, these are nannochloropsis oceanica microalgae, and bacillus subtilis natto (a type of fungus that produces salt-free fermented soy food). While I have an usually strong immune system relative to other people (other people have expressed anger at me that I don’t get sick when I’m surrounded by sick people), I know when I feel even a slight tinge of illness that I need to grab the Colostrum, Vitamin D3+K2, and Vitamin C in order to prevent too much negative impact. I also grab this combination of supplements when I feel especially tired due to a string of long work days, because I know I’m more vulnerable to illness. Don’t pay attention to physicians who state that megadoses of D3 shouldn’t be taken (some physicians think that the standard 125mcg dosage of D3 is already megadose status). While you should always know your specific body before taking megadoses, physicians generally don’t know what they’re talking about because the vast majority of them don’t understand supplements, generally depending on pharmaceutical companies to train them to prescribe only patented medications. All of this said, I’ve had a good experience with this Naturalis product.

I’ve been on this now for over a month and a half ,after my doctor visit and finding out Im vitamin D deficient. The changes I noticed wow, sleeping better , my workouts I can finish without feeling tired during the workout. Man part is working better to LOL. Feeling like a new man but yes this product is great .

Update July 25: I decided to add a 5th star for transparency – their customer service rep that I’ve been emailing with is communicative and answers my questions with answers that I can verify. I’ve been taking a D3/K2 supplement for a few years that was recommended by a Naturopathic Doctor, and I was looking for an alternative and came across Naturalis – the price was affordable for 180 pills. I wish I did my vetting before I made the purchase – but I was happy to get my order of Vegan D3 + K2(MK7) the next day after I ordered it. I saw that their label lists certification with the Vegan Society and I went to the Vegan Society web page to see if I could verify. Yes! This product is listed as certified. I noticed that their headquarters address on the label is down the street from where I live so I was curious and Google mapped it – it looks like they have moved because I did not see a Naturalis sign, but saw signs for other businesses. Not a big deal. I looked at their website and I wasn’t impressed – it makes some claims but there were no links to verify the information – at this point I have become a little worried about the actual quality/ingredients of the product. I sent them an email requesting information on who does their manufacturing and where it is located. I also asked if they have any third party lab test results to verify the ingredients – apparently Amazon requires this before a supplement vendor can sell on the Amazon platform. I will update this review after I receive an answer from Naturalis.

This is a pill (not sure on which type to call it) smaller than some vitamin E and bigger than others, Still smaller than a regular veggie capsule. No problems taking it.
