I’ve been going to the gym consistently for the last 12 years and take a milk and protein powder shake with me every time I workout. I’ve used a variety of styles over the years but am so happy to finally have a metal bottle. It cleans very easy and actually feels clean. I haven’t had it leak once yet and I’ve been using it for over a month. The cage inside does a respectable job at blending protein and collagen powder into the milk.

I had used plastic shakers in the past but stopped using because of the plastic taste and smell. I was concerned that plastic was leaching into my drink. I like this shaker as it is mostly stainless steel. It has a shaker basket at the top which is plastic, but only limited contact with my drink. I use this for protein and other powder nutrient drinks. It mixes the ingredients well. The lids need to be screwed on tight though. If not, it has dripped a few times when shaking. The only thing I don’t like is the small drink lid. When opened after shaking, some of my drink remains in the cap which drips on me while drinking. But I don’t think there could be a fix to that and it’s acceptable. Surprised at how light weight this is also for being mostly steel. Another surprise is the carry handle which is great.

Ok, I’ll admit it, I got sucked into the protein coffee craze.
It drove me nuts to use a shaker bottle for my protein shake, then pour that into my stainless coffee cup.
Well, this shaker cup does it both.
First, add my milk and water, then the powder.
Secure the lid, give it a good shake, then add my espresso and ice.
BAM, iced protein coffee all in one cup!
Less dishes to wash is always a win in my book.
Pros:
This cup kept my coffee cold all day as I sip on it.
The lid is secure and doesn’t leak.
It’s QUIET! That shaker ball noise drives me nuts, especially when others in the house are still sleeping.
Having the shaker embedded into the lid is really nice.
Cons:
One tiny little bother for me is removing the shaker from the lid. I’ve found sticking a spoon in and twisting it to pull it off works best. But it seems almost impossible with my hands. Could be a me problem too.
Overall, super happy with my new shaker cup.

This is a good quality shaker bottle that I use frequently for my post-workout protein shakes. I also use a blender ball with this as I don’t think the “cage” on top blends well enough. When I’m putting 50 grams of powder into 16 ounces of milk, I need a little extra help on the blending side. The stainless steel aspect keeps my drink cold and it’s also easy to clean. I have a slight issue with the cap top though. I have to hold the top open so that it doesn’t close when I tip it up to drink it. I prefer the cap have a little catch so that it stays open instead of having to physically hold it open with my finger. It’s not a major issue, but it is a slight annoyance.
