I love the fact that it’s made in Israel and it’s something new unlike US made products that have mixed chemicals now a days. Taste natural and is beneficial for me. It works when I feel too groggy. I thought it didn’t until I re read the directions. You must suck on it slowly. I just ate it fast with my coffee.
Good for tea however, it’s great when you don’t feel like getting up to make tea..then get a spoon! Only teaspoon not tablespoon. It gets me up fast now on day 3. Doesn’t happen overnight, so don’t have high expectations on any products yet. Be patient. It is sweet in its natural form. Some may think it taste weird like chemicals. Usually, good stuff taste bad or semi good.
This is all around good. In beginning, it is like medicinal syrup. It’s not! I must have an extra taste bud. However, others have it more since they hate chocolate. To them, it taste like medicine. I love chocolate wether it is pure cacao (coco) (bitter taste) or sweet.

So I’m not entirely sure what this honey is.. According to the description, they actually feed the bees different herbal extracts, and the resulting “medicinal” honey is collected. I opted for the Energy blend, wherein they supposedly feed the bees a laundry list of herbs: Aralia Racemosa, Angelica Atropurpurea, Inula Helenium, Plantago Major, Vitex Agnus Castus, Eleutherococcus Senticosus, Schisandra Shinesis, Panax Ginseng.
As far as taste goes, it tastes like a strong medicinal honey, slight bitterness, nice depth of flavor. It certainly tastes like there could be some strong effects from it.
I consider this more of an adaptogen type supplement, so rather than feeling a strong energy boost, I use it more to take the edge off and help with stress. It seems like it might be effective, but I really can’t say. There is no way of knowing how much of the herbs make it into the honey after the bees eat them…
Overall – it’s a really interesting product, but I’m skeptical of how effective it is compared to taking actual herbal extracts. Regardless – it’s very unique and worthy of trying.

The Zuf Globus: EnergyMEL honey was just a mildly pleasant tasting honey and I could not tell any boost in energy at all from consuming it by the teaspoon full. There is also a warning on the box the honey came in that I did not see in the description on this product page. Here is what it says: “Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, people taking prescription medications and diabetes patients: consult with a doctor.” That warning covers a lot of people and the prescription medication portion touched on a problem for me. I stopped using the honey and my husband finished it. He didn’t like the flavor very much either.

I appreciate the opportunity to try a Zuf Globus product, specifically their EnergyMel. It arrived well packed with the bottle fully sealed. The honey has a slightly medicinal taste, not at all unpleasant, so it is apparent from first taste that this is no ordinary honey. No additional ingredients are added in the production of the honey, only what the bees produce from the unique feeding method the company has developed. I do find the honey slightly uplifting but it is probably too early for me to make an assessment as to long term use effects. What impresses me most from looking into this company are the obvious healing intentions displayed in their product developments. They have developed formulas for general well being but also for specific health challenges that many face. I will likely be trying one or more of their other formulas. Bee keepers tend to live longer than most. Since our health is our wealth, these Zuf Globus formulas are definitely worth a try. While I would prefer that the ingredients that are fed to the bees for each medicinal product were listed on the bottle, possibly one could find this information with further research.

I am fascinated by the concept of this honey made by feeding bees on extracts of specific botanicals. I went to the Zuf Globus USA website to see what botanicals, specially, had been used in this particular honey.
This EnergyMel honey was made by bees that were fed on extracts of Eleutherococcus senticosus (siberian ginseng), panic ginseng, shisandra, chaste tree, plantain, elecampane, angelica, and spikenard. These herbs are well established variously as adaptogens, antioxidants anti-inflammatories, and immunoregulators .
The instructions are not to add this honey to food or beverages but to take a teaspoonful in the mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly. The honey is delicious. I do get a lift -mostly in alertness and ability to focus-from eating the honey. The medicinal honey is meant to be held in the mouth for absorption though the mucosa . For that reason I found it better to take only a small amount- about half a teaspoon- in my mouth at a time.
At $26. for 120 grams, or $6.19 an ounce, it is expensive for honey, but not really expensive ,I think, for what has gone into making it. The Zuf Globus website has quite a bit of information , including a video of the hives and the beekeepers pouring in the bees’ liquid diet.
I have only been using the honey for a couple of days. By the time this jar is gone I should have a clearer idea of its long term benefits.

the taste is decent, the amount for what you get is pretty small. i’m not sure what kind of “energy” i’m supposed to feel. the only thing i get is a little bloating and an adverse taste to anything i eat afterwards. overall i’m not impressed, maybe what the bees gathered doesn’t have an affect on me…
