A low dose of melatonin normally helps me sleep, and since these gummies for kids have only 2.5mg of Melatonin, Lemon Balm, Passionflower, and Chamomile extracts, which are all known for their natural calming properties and ability to promote better sleep, I decided to try these out for myself.
And they work for me!

I bought these for my granddaughter because she has trouble getting to sleep at night, and these seemed like they would appeal to her in the form of gummies. She really enjoyed the flavor and was disappointed only to be able to eat one.
It didn’t seem like she got to sleep any more quickly than normal, but she did toss and turn all night and have bad dreams. All in all, she had a sleepless night. I wasn’t sure if it was a fluke because I have two other granddaughters who take low-dose melatonin now and then without any adverse effects. SO… I thought I would try it the following night. Well, I don’t know what it was that was in it or a combination of things, but my night was sleepless, and I was exhausted the next morning, and it left me feeling blah.
I’m not sure if she would have done better with a smaller dose, but after having the experience I had, I didn’t want her to go through that again, so it’s a no-go for us.

I’m an adult & an insomniac but I tried them. I actually got these for my kids because the apples don’t fall too far from the tree – they’re all night owls too. There are nights when I need them to sleep a little earlier because I need them to wake up early and I usually get tossing & turning + the occasional, “mommy I can’t sleep.” This takes a while but it works. I don’t like the taste of the gummy but my kids love it. That’s all that matters. Each gummy costs a little over a quarter, which is not bad. It’s not something that’s taken daily so it’ll last this household quite a while. I think it is worth it – anything for z’s!

I know this is for kids but I only wanted a low dose of melatonin to help me fall asleep so a kids version seemed like a good idea. I liked the rest of the good ingredients (lemon balm, passion flower, chamomile and some B6) and no sugar (sweetened with stevia leaf).
Personally, I thought it tasted almost like a red vine candy. That was the closest thing my brain thought of when I took it. It is a gummy so it is like candy. Kids should love them.
I really only need 1mg of melatonin to just help me fall asleep and not lay there trying to get to sleep for hours. Because 1mg works, I do not see any need to take a higher dose. However, I have tried another gummy melatonin and I needed to take 2 gummies (1mg each) to do what 1mg typically does. I almost only took half of a gummy (would be 1.25mg) but I was concerned it wouldn’t work well enough because of the other gummy brand seeming to be less effective in absorption, so I took a full gummy. It knocked me out for sure. I am going to cut one in half tonight and just take the half because I do think that will be plenty for me.

Our son usually doesn’t usually have trouble sleeping, but we got these to keep on hand just in case. He hasn’t tried them yet, but my wife and my mother-in-law tried them. They have a pretty good flavor but not overly sweet or candy-like, which is probably good to keep kids from eating too many. My wife tried one and then two on separate nights, and although they did not keep her asleep all night, she did feel like she fell back to sleep more easily the times that she woke up in the night. My mother-in-law had a fantastic response to taking two – she slept straight through the night, which is unusual for her! We love that they’re vegan and natural.

If you’re looking for a mild sleep aid in gummy format, this is what you want. It doesn’t have valerien and some other ingredients I normally look for, but the ones that are there are solid — if a little weak. But for kids that is fine. For adults, two tasty gummies may be in order. It comes well-packaged and is sort of pricy, but when you factor in the number of doses, it is actually a good deal. You can feel confident giving this to your kids, or taking it yourself.

They look good and smell good and taste amazing… That’s all I am technically qualified to say…
I am not qualified to tell you the medical benefits and reactions you will get or your kids willl have when taking these. I can say they come in a very nice bottle with a very nice label and the lid is very nice as is the in protective seal (thin metal). They look good, smell good and taste amazing… Wow.. as good or better than a lot of candies out there.
