My physician recommended melatonin to help initiate and promote sleep through the night (but did not provide instructions re: dose amount). I initially purchased a product at a big box store (10mg). The product helped sleep; but had a unpleasant hangover feeling and headache each day after taking. I am glad I found Solgar’s 3mg version. Sleep is effortless, no next day after effects, and the small tablets are easy to swallow. For me, 10mg was just too strong…3mg is perfect.

Solgar is a brand I trust. However, when I ordered the product I didn’t realize that shipping would take two weeks. Thankfully I received the product one week earlier than was expected because I would have run out. Kudos!

These are great melatonin tablets. I buy them for my dog, to support his treatments for certain medical conditions. They are great because they are a unique, small size, which the brand describes as “nuggets,” that are perfect to give to small dogs or humans who have trouble swallowing pills. They are maybe 2/3 or even 1/2 the size of a regular standard size tablet.
Besides the small size, I like this brand because they seem to have worked well for my dog. They definitely help him sleep sounder and longer than when he doesn’t take them. They help cut down on his nighttime restlessness significantly. As an added bonus, I believe they have helped him regrow fur where he had lost it.
I have also taken these melatonin nuggets on occasion to help me sleep, and I believe they have worked well. I have slept soundly but was able to wake up appropriately in the morning and didn’t feel groggy.

I started using solgar mealtonin at first and worked like a charm, than I dicided to give a try to other brands. Nothing works as good as this so I turned back to this. Only one problem though for me, I take half of the pill at night and it is very hard to split in half, wish it had some line or was easier to cut, other than that product quality is very good.

I was hesitant to try…but I love Solgar items and thought it would help to relax and rest better. I take one and it is very gentle helps my TMJ relax and I am pleased that you don’t have that fog head. Thank you! Plus Dairy free, etc.

I love the quality of this melatonin supplement, and it is not too strong. It puts you to sleep without the hangover effect in the morning.

I think the amount of melatonin you take is a personal thing. For me, the 3 mg tablets work best. I sleep deeper and fall asleep faster. When I take higher dosages, I have bad dreams. Solgar is trustworthy and I like these a lot.

Although effective, the pills don’t allow for cutting in half, as I originally wanted to do. They’re too soft and break apart even with a pharmacy pill cutter razor. If someone knows they want 3mg, cool. They work as stated. I bought other 1mg pills to compensate.
