This is an interesting product. It is imported from Germany, which has strict EU safety regulations for foods and supplements. The package containing the product is quite large and the inner contents – amber glass vials with rubber stoppers – are well-protected by foam cushioning.
The content of the vials themselves is a thick liquid, about smoothie consistency. Straight from the bottle the taste is like brewers ‘ yeast, which I believe is one form of the ingredients. Other ingredients include the royal jelly, possibly iron (if it’s not already within the yeast), and a small amount of sugar. The instructions recommend mixing in apple juice or other beverage to mask the taste. I do not have apple juice on hand, I used a small amount of cranberry juice and water. It didn’t completely mask the taste, but it was tolerable.
I think this product is a good idea in terms of convenience. However, it is pricey for the combination of ingredients. The quality is high, from a well-respected German company. I’m not certain it would pass muster for anyone who is finicky about tastes and flavors. Hence, the 4* rating as a specialty supplement.
