Very bitter. Can definitely taste the kava, which I’m not a huge fan of personally, but they do work and rather quickly. My husband thought I was joking so he took four and he’s currently still on the couch staring at the ceiling. Very relaxing.

First & foremost, these are NASTY AF! Like, NASTY-NASTY! I take two of these at a time when I’m having uncontrollable anger or anxiety. I chew them, because it gets in the bloodstream faster. I have to psych myself up to swallow. But., THEY ARE AMAZING!! They work, just as they claim. Yes, I am a real person. No, this is not part of a promotion, nor did they pay me anything. As much as I really can’t stand the taste, to the point that I shutter when I do swallow! I can’t say it enough, NASTY AF!! I even told my herbal store owner that he needed to start selling these.
So the feeling that I do achieve, is numbness of the mouth and then it feels like it just washes over me from top to bottom. Honest to God, it’s like I can feel the calm running through me.

I have had kava hand prepared as a drink before and the taste is really not pleasing so of course it’s going to be hard to mask that with candies. The sunny flavor is like a lemon ginger that does a pretty good job considering the circumstances. The moon mint flavor is a better taste in my opinion, but both are completely tolerable. Only the pickiest people will have an issue with it.
I’d like to add that taking too much will have a reverse effect on sleep. In fact, I can’t fall asleep at all if I take a whole one before bed because of the buzz. But, it’s not an anxious buzz. It’s a very calming happy effect that will make you more content with everything. If you have bad anxiety don’t take too much or you’ll risk a bad stomach ache when coming down from the euphoria. As other ppl have said, you do need to take at least two to get any feeling the first time. Then you can continue to take two for a few days and eventually you won’t need two anymore. The reverse tolerance will make you more sensitive to it, so try to take one after a few days to get the same effect. I can actually take halves now and I feel good. I usually take it for anxiety especially in college, when I feel anxious thoughts or nervous fidgeting starting, I take one and within 15 minutes, the anxiety melts away. And it doesn’t alter your judgment or cognition at all. You’ll just be a calmer happier you.
It does make my eyes more sensitive to light. Kava effects can last about 3 hours. I appreciate that they use noble kava which has been known to be less taxing on the liver. Great product!

Don’t buy this it’s basically a bigger version of the Pez candy. I never felt anything but a bad taste in my mouth.Im sorry, I don’t think I’ve ever given a low star, and I rarely give negative feedback. The company was good and delivered fast. I just didn’t feel any difference, I didn’t feel calmer or just relaxed.

Let’s get the taste out of the way up front: it’s awful. But no kava product tastes good. These are somewhat better than the taste of traditional kava tea. Personally, I break them down with my teeth so they melt in my mouth faster. But honestly, if they didn’t taste bad, it would be suspicious. Kava tastes terrible. There’s no avoiding it. The lemon flavor takes the edge off, but that’s it.
Taste aside, these are a great way to have a little kava. Taken in the afternoon they provide a mild lift. Before bed and they’ll help you get a really deep, restful sleep. I also suffer from an anxiety disorder, and they are helpful to just mellow out a bit, particularly before social situations. They’re a great little mood boost that you can take anywhere with you.

I bought the moon mint kind and I’m glad that I got multiple because my dumb self fumbled opening the taped slide tin and *boom* I immediately lost a few on the ground that got trashed. Darn it. Oh well. Anyway…
I tasted one of the good ones spared from the floor and chewed it up. It gave a numbing sensation down my throat. I could detect a hint of the nasty natural kava taste so I believe this is the real deal. The second mint that I tried, I sucked on it to last longer, putting it under my tongue to dissolve slowly. I happen to love the numbing part, just as kava-kava root naturally does when you drink it.
This product isn’t super minty tasting so they shouldn’t be bought for the sole purpose of a refreshing mint. These are probably more suited for kava drinkers who want the anti-anxiety, stress-relieving, calming effects of kava quickly and easily on-the-go. *It’s important to note that kava shouldn’t be mixed with any alcohol.*

I tried this as an alternative to alcohol and/or THC chewables. They work! Very mellow, but noticeable calming effect–will use as alternative to drinking s it works much better than Breze or Recess beverages. There IS a numbing effect at beginning of chewing, but it doesn’t last long.
