I’ve been taking Elderberry for boosting my immune system for over 2 years. I find this is the best Elderberry product. The concentration of Elderberry is much higher than most others and it includes Vit C and Zinc. I can take low doses for maintenance and full dose when I need an extra boost. It’s not a sugary sweet syrup which I prefer.
Pharmapacks price saves me about $7 over retail and shipping is fast and free with great protective packaging.

This has been a game changer for pre school. All the sniffles and constant flus, if she’s wakes up with a sniffle or cough then a spoon of this in a tiny bit of water and down it goes, sniffles disappear within 10 minutes. Two or three doses a day keeps us in school when the sniffles and cough are around. However it doesn’t stop serious flus. It does reduce the severity and length though, keeps it tolerable for us. I will not be without some form of sambucus syrup from here on out. As a matter of fact it works so well and tastes so decent that I’ve traded in my beloved Echinacea for a spoon of this stuff for myself.
I’ve noticed the other brands of this kind of syrup work very well also. I got this brand because it was pure and I could use it as a preventative. However I’m not sure it has to be only sambucus for that, but it’s the safest bet for little ones if you want a spoon in the morning to keep sickness away through the winter.

I bought this for my daughter who is always sick. She has been taking it daily for about 2 months. She doesn’t like the taste but I feel it shortens her colds when she gets them. It taste fine for me. It has a lot of Elderberrry, Zinc and vitamin C which I like. Better then the kids gummies.

I do like this product. The bottle is heavy glass and did come in bubble wrapped envelope so I am glad for that. Unlike other products on the market I could tell right away that this was a more ‘potent’ formula which is why I was buying it in the first place. Also unlike other products on the market their is very little sweetener added. Upon tasting I could see that it is just enough to get the ‘medicine’ swallowed down! But again isn’t that the point? I am not there for the sugar (yuck) I am their to get well or stay well! So I did not take it but a few days and I should have taken longer but the persistent congestion I had for couple weeks seemed to be knocked out rather quickly. Funny today as I am writing this review it is starting to come back (weather changes again) and I will begin taking again and shall take for a longer period of time.
The one thing I do not like is there is no easy way to get it out of the container. Pouring it out (it is thick) it runs down the side and I have to get it with my finger and it does not come with a measuring cup or anything so you will need to already have something in your house to use with it. Being the type of liquid and bottle I would highly recommend a different way of dispensing. It would be nice it had a dropper top or something like that with a syringe.
