Powerful and by far the best Elderberry on the market. This has been a massive help in the flu season. Adding reishi, turkey tail and chaga significantly enhances the effectiveness of this product. I’ve been using Host Defense products for years, have never been disappointed. Paul Stamets and Host Defense are in a class by themselves, industry leaders and an honorable company. The only downside is it’s pretty pricey based on other elderberry, but you’re making a big positive investment in your health, it’s worth it.

It just never sat right in my stomach. I had to stop drinking it. Never gave me gas or diahrea, just always made me want to throw up. Not that it had a terrible taste, it was just real concentrated and my stomach never was a fan.

Host Defense has created a product that I have come to trust and depend on. I love the flavor, how easy it is to swallow, and it is absent of high fructose corn syrup. The only problem I have with this product is it doesn’t come in a larger sized bottle.

I gave 5 stars because I like their products but did not have a chance to try the Elderberry syrup because it was not sealed well and spilled all over. Unfortunately and it’s unavailable at the store after I bought. I think was the last one and not a good one. I will try another time from them when they have back on the store. Going to find another company just for that but their mushrooms are great and work.

This is the second time I’ve ordered a host defense product and both times they’ve arrived damaged and leaking. Don’t get me wrong, I love Paul Stamets and anybody that’s reading this should love him too. Show the man some gratitude for crossing the lines that those before him were too scared to cross. If you’re reading this Paul, please maybe add a “handle with care” sticker to the packaging.
P.S Fantastic Fungi was a master piece, and your mother deserves an academy award just for playing herself.

Such an underrated health brand! I’ve tried different elderberry syrups, but I honestly question who effective they are because they tend to taste very diluted, and overpowered with tons of sugar, and honestly drinking a sugar load is pretty bad for your immune system.
Host Defense’s Elderberry syrup is very full in flavor. The bottle I received was very tart – as elderberries should taste. It has a texture not bad – like tiny pieces crushed dried fruit. The taste was honestly amazing. Im not sure if texture is from the mushrooms or from the elderberries. But if you compare to the others out there, this one is by far exceeds in quality and potency.
