It’s a little tricky to review a vitamins or supplements product because you don’t necessarily know if they’re “working” or are “good” without a long-term use, plus most vitamins and supplements are used proactively to ensure you don’t have problems with your health later on. I take Magnesium Glycinate at night. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve read that it works on the nervous system and can help to alleviate stress and anxiety, is used to promote good bone health, blood sugar management, and it can help with heartburn and constipation, which can all have a poor affect on your sleep.
I sleep well when I take Magnesium Glycinate, and poorly when I skip it. Is it because of the Magnesium Glycinate or because I THINK it’s the Magnesium Glycinate? Who knows? But I sleep well when I take it and I wake up refreshed, and without creaky pops in my bones and joints like I used to. So it works for me.
As for the PlantFusion version: It’s important that the container itself is dark so light can’t get in and affect the efficacy of the pills, and this bottle is opaque. I like that. I also like that it’s vegan, claims it has Maximum Absorption (not evaluated by the FDA), and it doesn’t have any artificial preservatives, colors, or other junk in there.
It does say you need to take three capsules to achieve 400mg, which means it’s a one-month supply, but I find I do just fine taking one and letting it last 3 months (I’m 5’9, 166#, BMI ~19). Note that if you take too much Magnesium Glycinate you might have diarrhea or other side effects.
Do your own research on the positives and negatives of Magnesium Glycinate, but IMHO it works for me, and I’m very happy with the PlantFusion version of it.

This is an excellent, high quality magnesium supplement from a reputable company. I also have a very sensitive stomach, and this supplement does not irritate my digestive system.
This product is also effective. I take I after dinner to help me unwind for the evening, and have better sleep quality, as well as reduce the occurrence of Charlie horse leg cramps that I get from time-to-time, and this product certainly deliver this.
My only issue is having to take three capsules per dose, which is a bit cumbersome. Additionally, because of the three capsule dosage, this bottle contains only a 30 day supply, making it less cost-effective than some other brands I have tried.

It’s difficult to evaluate the effectiveness of supplements, especially after only one month. The body doesn’t change that quickly. However, I reduced the stars because this brand required three capsules for a daily dose. I take too many meds to want to add that many extra pills to my daily regimen. It’s also very expensive for magnesium.

I have been taking magnesium glycinate for quite a while to support sleep and mental health. From the standpoint of how this supplement is formulated, it seems to be a great quality. The capsules are somewhat large (as I have found with other brands as well) but smooth and fairly easy to swallow. I will have to see with time if there is any difference in how I feel with this brand vs others I have used, but I have not noticed any reduction in efficacy thus far. I have generally had good results with the Plant Fusion brand for other types of supplements so I am optimistic about their quality.

I like magnesium glycinate. It helps regulate my sleep pattern, which to me is the most important benefit. That’s not all magnesium is important for though. It also helps regulate digestive health and has a whole list of other health benefits. One of the few supplements I make sure to take regularly.
