Well, I have to say I was just as skeptical as anyone else might be going into this purchase as the most I’d heard of traditional Chinese medicine had mostly been memes through SEA folks on discord. I am however willing to keep an open mind and as an aging gentleman now, willing to admit my hair is not quite what it once was 15 years ago. A firm believer in the “inside out” philosophy and seeing a bottle of these cost under $20 (and being desperate), I figured why not?
Long story short I bought and have been taking two a day, morning and night, for about 3 maybe 4 weeks. And I gotta say I have noticed changes in my hair, most importantly when I’m cleaning it. My hair has been thinning as I age and tbh was getting pretty bad. Knots, tangles, breakages, you name it. It was starting to remind me of when an old cat of ours had mange.
After a few weeks if taking these and I can say the situation has definitely improved. I lose less hair in the shower and most importantly of all my hair is much easier to detangle, even with no other changes. There’s still some resistance but much less severe knotting resulting in much less breakage. Very much enjoyed this.
There’s some general changes too. It’s very subtle but the color and texture of my hair has changed. It’s not huge, but tbh I’m getting the impression my hair is receiving active nutrients that I guess don’t exist in a western diet. They’re hard to pin down, but I feel it’s an improvement. If I had a complaint it would be that my hair doesn’t hold it’s shape as well as it used to, but if that’s a sign of healthier hair, sign me up.
In the end I am satisfied. The only thing left out of this purchase for me to hope for is to keep using it and see if it can return my hair to early twenties levels of thickness (lol). As it is I’m satisfied just not trashing my hair every time I try to clean it. Huge shout out to dragon herbs for making this one of their more affordable supplements. It’s not often I talk hair with people, but if I do I’ll drop a mention.

This supplement actually does improve hair, for me every time I take it consistently for a few months my shedding noticeably reduces. I can’t say my hair growth improves or my hair is healthier BUT a reduction in shedding is pretty significant in my book and any time I test it to see if it’s just my own hair cycle, I find that when I get off it my hair sheds like crazy again until I restart taking it.

I only take 3 pills in the morning and probably skip a day or 2. It’s a lot of pills as recommended dosage that I didn’t realize when I purchased but it definitely works. My nails and hair have grown at twice the rate previously.
