I take Maca Powder normally, so I thought I’d try this brand. I didn’t realize when I ordered it that it also contains Organic Maltodextrin. The other Organic Maca Powder that I use does not have any other ingredients, so I wasn’t happy to find out that this brand does.
-Per Google search, “Maltodextrin is a white, water-soluble powder that’s a common food additive and a type of carbohydrate. It’s made from corn, rice, wheat, or potato starch that’s been cooked and brokene down with acids or enzymes. The result is a neutral-tasting powder that’s often used as a thickener, filler, or sweetener in processed foods…” I don’t know about you, but the above definition doesn’t sound very healthy, and I would much prefer this product without that ingredient.
-Due to the above, I will stick to different Organic brands of Maca Powder without any additives.
-The Maca powder is very fine, and seems to be a decent powder.
-The taste is bad, but I’m used to that and I mix it with beverages anyways.
