Although further research is needed, Berberine supplements claim is to help manage blood sugar levels, improve cholesterol profiles, and support weight loss by influencing metabolism. They also claim anti-inflammatory benefits and may improve gut health. Additionally, Berberine shows potential in supporting liver function. I am not a medical expert but feel it’s easy to take Berberine as a daily supplement on the chance that it does help with any of this. I’ve been taking it for nearly a year now with no adverse effects and in addition to Berberine, this brand also includes Biotin which I had been taking separately to help with my brittle nails. $19.60 for a 30-day supply is a good price considering the ingredients and being manufactured in the USA.

This is BerbeVis, a patent product which has more absorption due to the phytosomes than just pure Berberine. I would normally use 3 of 500mg Berberine capsules but 2 of the BerbeVis seems on par with that if not even better. And the BerbeVis is actually just 1/3 Berberine, so it does have to live up to the claim of being as much as 10x better than (usually 97%) Berberine in order to get better results from it. So basically this would be pitting 360mg Berberine + phytosomes against 1500mg Berberine, with typical sugar support usage. And this product also has Chromium added, which helps even more. The Chromium dosage isn’t that high, so it is of no safety concern taking more than one of these per day.
I made the switch from Berberine to BerbeVis almost a year ago and prefer it. Since it’s a standardized patent product, I usually just purchase based on pricing. Since it’s just one company making BerbeVis material, which other supplement companies are buying and packaging, yeah it’s expensive, so it really just comes down to how many pills are you willing to take a day. I take a really high number of supplement per day and so I am currently happy to pay more to take fewer of them. Many people would still find this cheaper per day than paying for a equivalent medication instead, for comparison. But standard Berberine has been useful for me as well and something I took for well over a decade. You could always do a 6 month trial of each then do some blood testing to compare. Also just fyi if you have never taken Berberine at all, it takes 4-6 months of daily usage to fully become effective so don’t expect to see dramatic changes in one week.
Note that this company uses a post office as their business address and doesn’t actually post this supposed 3rd party testing anywhere. Still, since this is a standardized product, it should be safe just that you’ll have to trust that what they say is in there, actually is, in the dosages they state.

I noticed no off flavor, no smell, and not even a lingering hint. I mostly use this for weight loss. To me, the effects were subtle.I found it easy to take and had no adverse reactions. I appreciate the enhanced absorption.

What I like about this berberine is I like the dosage and formulation. Also the capsule size isn’t bad when it comes to swallowing it. Even though it pill goes down easy, there is still a slight bitter taste to it. But that bitterness doesn’t linger as an aftertaste.

This product is used for appetite control and metabolism. With menopause this is something I’m working through. I’ve not noticed any changes yet in these areas, but suspect it may take some time to build up in my system before I may see and changes????

Overall: Recommended! Great product for supporting improved immune function and calm in our opinion the bottle packaging is fine and the safety seals are doing the job. Nice that it is independently tested and that it has FDA certification. We like to check with our health care practitioner before staring a new supplement and this one seemed fine : ) Nice emphasis on trace minerals in our opinion. Cheers!

I can’t speak yet to the long-term effects of these berberine capsules, but they are easy to swallow, don’t have any taste, and haven’t caused me any stomach problems or other negative effects. My hope is that they help regulate my glucose and metabolism and maybe help with weight loss along with diet and exercise. So far I’m happy with these and excited to see future results.
