Effective and very versatile! My husband discovered this by doing a search for a natural antibacterial, and it has proved to be useful for so many ailments.
I had a urinary tract infection and started taking this by putting it in water and drinking it and the UTI cleared up! Amazing! I put a few drops in water and drink it every morning now and I haven’t had any urinary problems, which were a common occurrence for me.
A friend of mine had a gum infection and I told her to try this by putting some drops in water and swishing it around her mouth. She came back to me and was so thrilled and relieved that the infection cleared up for her. Even her dentist couldn’t believe it.

As far as I know ,the product inside the actual Citricidal bottle will be ok ,but the actual Citricidal box appeared to be torn open at the bottom.
The outer package that the box was in looked to be again normal.
I have had other products before with this ,probably normal defect ,but never mentioned it.
I again say that I have no reason to think that there is anything wrong with the product inside the bottle,
but I do think that it is a wee bit strange.

My wife and I now consider this an indispensable part of our medicinal arsenal. We use it as soon as a sore throat or other cold/flu symptoms appear and more often than not, that nips it in the bud before further illness can develop.
We use several drops of it in filtered drinking water and I usually add a few drops of it to a bottle of water taken with me to work, where I sip throughout my work day.
It’s a great natural antibacterial and antiviral remedy, also very good with canker sores and such.
If using several drops or more to water, it can be bitter, to which I have become accustomed, so no problem for me, however if you object to this, it’s easy to mask that bitterness with your favourite method. Personally, I have squeezed in the juice of a third or half lemon, stirred well and taken it that way. You may or may also wish to add a little honey if you feel the need to sweeten it, but I feel the simpler the better.
Here is some highly useful information about the use of grapefruit seed extract:
INTERNAL USE (Never use full strength):
Orally: Use 5-15 drops mixed in 5 oz. of water or juice, 2-3 times daily, with or without meals. Children 5 years and older: Take 1-6 drops mixed in 5 oz. juice, 2-3 times daily. Do not use full strength in mouth.
Throat Gargle: Stir 3 drops (we use 5 drops) of GSE into a small (3 oz. or more) glass of water. Gargle several times. Use as often as needed. Always dilute.
Ear Rinse: Thoroughly mix 3-5 drops of GSE with 1 oz. of glycerin or alcohol. Apply 1-2 drops of this solution in affected ear 1-2 times daily. Use as often as needed. Do not use full strength in ears.
Nasal Rinse (adults only): Mix 1 drop of GSE with 2 oz. of water. Use one full eye dropper of the mixed solution per nostril. Tilt your head backward and release the solution from the dropper into your nose. Swing head forward and down (head is now upside down) to force solution up into nasal passages. Return head to the normal upright position and allow nasal passages to drain. Do not inhale through the nose during this process. Always dilute.
Vaginal Rinse: Mix 5-10 drops of GSE in 6-8 oz. of water. Douche once daily for one week. Douche more often if desired. Always dilute.
EXTERNAL USE (Never use full strength):
Facial Cleanser: Thoroughly moisten (splash) face with warm or cool water. With hands still wet, apply 2-3 drops of GSE to fingertips and gently massage facial area with circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and pat dry. A tingling sensation may follow. This is an indication of the deep cleansing properties of GSE. Always dilute.
Skin Rinse (for minor skin irritations): Dilute GSE with water (5-10 drops/tablespoon). Apply this solution directly to affected area twice daily. Do not use full strength on skin.
Nail Treatment: Dilute GSE with water or alcohol (5-10 drops/tablespoon). Apply this solution directly on surface of nail along the cuticle and underneath the front of nail, or soak nails, twice daily for as long as desired. Do not use full strength on nails.
Scalp Treatment: Add 5-10 drops of GSE to each shampooing (mix in hand or on head with shampoo). Massage into scalp and leave on for at least 2 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with water.
HOUSEHOLD HOUSE:
Toothbrush Cleaner: Stir 5-10 drops of GSE into a glass of water. Submerge toothbrush for 15 minutes (or leave in between uses). Rinse toothbrush before using. Change water and remix every few days.
Vegetable/Fruit or Meat/Poultry Wash: Sink washing Add 30 drops of GSE to a sink full of cold water. Briefly soak any vegetables, fruit, meat or poultry. Rinse if desired.
Spray washing: Add 20 or more drops of GSE to a 32oz pump sprayer filled with water. Spray on any vegetables, fruit, meat, or poultry.
Dish and Utensil Cleaning Additive: Add 15-30 drops of GSE to sink dishwashing water or to final rinse. Add 15-30 drops to automatic dishwasher with detergent or to final rinse.
Cutting Board Cleaner: Apply 10-20 drops of GSE to cutting board and work into entire board with a wet sponge or dishcloth. Leave on for at least 30 minutes. Rinse with water.
All-Purpose Cleaner: Add 30-60 drops of GSE to any 32oz pump sprayer filled with water or cleanser. Use on all surfaces around the house.
CAUTION: Do not put in eyes. Do not use full strength in mouth, ears, nose, or sensitive areas. May cause irritation if used full strength on skin.
