I recently tried the Smart Heart Flax Seed Oil & ALA Omega-3 supplement, and unfortunately, I don’t have much to report. I took the 90-count bottle as directed and didn’t notice any significant positive changes in my overall health or well-being. On the other hand, I also didn’t experience any negative side effects, which is a plus. However, it’s important to note that some individuals may be sensitive to flax seed oil, so it’s worth exercising caution if you’re trying it for the first time.
My biggest concern with this product is the lack of information regarding third-party testing. The product listing and packaging don’t mention whether the flax seed oil has been tested for quality, purity, or safety. This absence of transparency is worrying, as these tests are crucial to ensure you’re consuming a product that is both effective and free from harmful contaminants. Without this information, it’s difficult to confidently recommend this specific flax seed oil over other alternatives.

I’ve been using Flax Seed Oil Supplements for several years now as part of my daily vitamin/supplement regimen. I didn’t notice any adverse effects making the change to this brand. The dosage is comparable to what I had been taking, so it didn’t require any adjustment on my part. This does appear to be a viable alternative brand Flax Seed Oil for me.

I ordered the Smart Heart Flax Seed Oil and Ala Omega-3, 90 Count By Basic Brands. THe product came with a foil seal under the lid for tamper proofing and freshness. I could find no expiration date which, for an oil based supplement especially, seemed odd. The gel caps are about an inch long and easy to swallow. Out of the bottle there is an earthy smell to these capsules. I suffered no stomach upset or other ill effects after taking.

This supplement is a good source of Omegas and it’s made in the USA. It is made with gelatin, so it’s not vegan, and my only other concern is that there’s no third-party testing. Other than that, if you aren’t vegan, it’s a good buy.

This BASIC BRANDS Heart Support supplement provides 1,000mg of flax seed oil, 500mg Alpha Linolenic Acid and other ingredients for numerous health support functions including brain, hair, skin and nail health support. The softgels are flavorless and easy to swallow and each bottle contains a three month supply.
After taking this supplement I didn’t notice any difference or negative reactions but some people may be sensitive to flax seed oil and in rare cases experience nausea and vomiting. The manufacturer of this product claims that there are no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or preservatives, however as best as I can determine this product has not been third party tested. I am pleased with this product and would order it again.
