If you’re not interested in taking a PPI, Proton Pump Inhibitor, Prilosec-type med (very bad for you for long-term use) this is a huge help.
I have severe reflux even after a surgery to try and fix the problem. I’ve been taking PPI’s for years and now my stomach is really messed up. Docs are reluctant to explain how bad PPI’s are but, when pressed, they’ll give up the info.
My wellness doc told me about this natural product and had I started years ago, I may have been able to avoid taking PPI’s either totally or at least only had to take them for a short duration.
I am trying to get off them with the use of the Gum Mastic, but it’s not easy after about 12 years of meds. However, it’s helping me to cut down on the number of pills I’m using and I’m still hopeful.
Gum mastic is simply a powdered form of a tree bark from the Middle East. I’ve learned that when the capsule breaks down and releases the bark in your stomach, the mastic simply binds with stomach acid and excess is eliminated naturally. You are able to digest normally with stomach acid, something I can’t do properly anymore as I’ve been on meds to slow acid production for so long.
There are no side effects and it really seems to help, even in a case like mine. Give it a try before you get messed up from PPI’s or if you have occasional reflux or heartburn. It should help and it’s less expensive through Amazon than at the health food store, especially if you end up buying the 120 caps. Even the smaller sizes are less expensive through Amazon.

My doctor ordered a blood test for H. Pylori and it came back positive. I did not want to take antibitoic and I researched for natural remedies and found this product, Mastica (Mastic Gum) on Amazon and ordered two bottles. I have not even finished my first bottle, and no longer have the Helicobacter Pylori infection in my stomach!
Great news about Mastica (Mastic Gum) is that it WORKS and kills the Helicobacter Pylori infection. I highly recommend it if you have been infected with this very bad bacteria in your Gastrointestional tract. My research was based on information by medical doctors who gave their recommendation on natural remedies, and people who looked for alternative solutions used natural remedies to treat themselves and NOT go in the way of conventional medicine and the use of antibiotics or any pharmaceutical drugs.
First I give all praise and honor to my Lord Jesus Christ as I prayed to Him first asking him to heal me, I said, “Physician heal Yourself, as He lives in me by His Holy Spirit. I believe that our Creator has put everything that we need, spices, herbs, even wild flowers etc. in the earth to cure the body when it becomes sick and diseased.
My combination was prayer first, then I used Manuka Doctor UMF 24 which is offered on Amazon, it is imported from New Zealand and is very effective in killing the H. Pylori bacteria. This honey is not processed so be sure to look for the UMF number 24 + which is very high in medicinal properties to eradicate this destructive bacteria. Do your homework and research to help yourself. Just a lesson in what I learned. If you don’t rid yourself of the H. Pylori bacteria, it can and will progress to stomach ulcers and on to stomach cancer.
I took Mastica (Mastic Gum) and followed the instructions on the bottle, and I took Probiotics (mostly Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria Bifidum) Dr. Formulated Probiotics by Garden of Life which has to be refrigerated. Do not want to use the cheap shelf probiotics! I also recommend that you view the video by Dr. Alan Pressman on YOUTUBE.COM. This Doctor has treated patients for many years using probiotics and I followed some of what Dr. Alan Pressman recommended. The first probiotic that I took was by Soloray (Multidolphilus 12) which also has to be refrigerated. The probiotics that I have recommended can be found in you local health food store. I also recommend that you look at the video on YOUTUBE.COM and type Primitive Mommy and she will inspire you with her report on test results from the use of Manuka Doctor 24+ and how she also was cured of the Helicobacter Pylori infection. Please, please do not take this lightly. The H. Pylori bacteria and make your life miserable to the point that you can not even eat solid food. That is what happened to me. I was reduced to broth, jello, smoothies, cream soups, because the pain was so bad, and I was bloated and felt full even after drinking just water. This is a very serious infection.

I learned about this product while searching for a way to get off of Prilosec OTC naturally. My family doctor told me I had acid reflux and put me on acid blockers (Prilosec, Protonix) for three years and every time I tried to get off of it, I felt the acid coming up in my throat and my stomach hurt. I knew my body was used to taking the acid blockers and I also knew what the acid blockers do – they stop your stomach from producing acid. I have a Helicobactor so I started suscription of this product for over a month.
I take 2 capsules 3 times a day but I noticed each bottle was finished with odd number of pills.
With that in mind I opened a new bottle this morning and counted to see if there are 120 capsules as it says, I found only 116 capsules .
I cancelled my subscription. This company has ruined all their reputation by deceiving the customer with just a few capsules. So foolish marketing!
