Love that it is an ACTIVE GEL. As
Far as I know, no-one else makes it this way. Easy to take, liquid filled capsule. High absorption!
Digger –
The bottle actually does disclose that these are fairly large capsules in terms of length. They are also fairly large in diameter as well. Similar to the big fish oil pills I sometimes take. Which at time gives me some problems in swallowing without a bite of food. The real problem I run into with these is they seem to be fairly dense. Which causes me to have to be very careful to not hit my gag reflex when attempting to swallow.
Given the 3 capsule dosage I am hoping they are giving a true mag content. Not the total mass of the compound. At about $40 for 60 servings or a couple months it’s more than my other brands. I usually don’t take the full amount daily. Which means it’ll go a little longer. Combined with what to me feels like an unnecessarily large capsule these aren’t top on my list. Just ok.

I’m am an avid believer and user of supplements, but reviewing them is problematic, and my results may not be your results for these reasons:
1) I am not a laboratory scientist, I do not play one on tv, nor do I know one, so who knows what’s exactly contained in them.
2) It is difficult for consumers to see any actual difference in how you feel within a few days to a couple of weeks. Some supplements take as much as ninety days to see results.
3) Even if we do notice a difference, we all take other meds or supplements that may affect our results one way or the other.
4) We all have different physiologies, and are just different in so many ways (lifestyles etc). But we can hope for the best when we see others having positive actions going on, that are attributed to said supplements.
So my personal non doctor opinion of my own results:
Good brand that I will return to for sure. A little larger than others but they do pack a punch

KAL is a reputable brand, and I’ve actually taken their (previous) powdered version of Magnesium Glycinate before ordering these. These capsules seem to be the same dosage as their powdered version, and I wanted to try it because I thought a liquid-based delivery would be absorbed better (or faster).
Magnesium glycerinate is supposedly absorbed better by the body than some other forms, which get excreted more quickly. It’s supposed to be beneficial to reduce insomnia and anxiety, without a negative effect on your digestive tract. The manufacturer recommends taking them at different times of the day (they don’t have to be all at once).
The pills are rather large, and it takes three of them to deliver the stated dose of 315 mg. So a bottle of 180 capsules is a 60-day supply. So if you’re not keen on swallowing large pills, be forewarned. For me, I did have a good night’s sleep when combining this form of magnesium with other supplements that I take at night.

Listen if you have anxiety or insomnia or if you are like me and have both this helps. I will say that I do take prescription duloxetine and I just I have not been able to rest my mind and my thoughts even on the prescription and not sleeping well not feeling rested at all. I haven’t even been taking this magnesium glycinate for a full week yet and I already notice how calm my mind is and I’m sleeping at night and waking up early feeling rested which is something I’ve never done my entire life and I’m almost 50

I’ve taken various forms of magnesium, but so many of them have a laxative effect. Magnesium Glycinate does not, plus it really does help me sleep better. Magnesium Glycinate is considered the most bioavailable and absorbable form of magnesium.
These capsules, though easy to swallow, are very large (see photo next to the nickel) and a single serving is 3 capsules. That may not work for some people and normally it wouldn’t for me, but I did find them easy to swallow. When you open the bottle there is a smell, but I can’t quite place it. It isn’t a bad smell, but it is fairly strong.
The expiration date and manufacturing date are marked clearly on the bottom of the bottle. According to the label, the supplement is manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah. It does contain gelatin (bovine), but it is non-GMO, gluten free, and contains no soy. There are 180 capsules, so if you take the recommended dosage, this large bottle would last you two months. That makes it a good value.

I don’t know if it’s because they are softgels, but I’ve tried other magnesium supplements that have about the same dosage with a single capsule. It doesn’t bother me taking three but it just seems I’m taking three capsules for what I normally get out of one. They’re a little bit more expensive than some magnesium supplements but I feel like the results are better than the cheaper ones on the market. I don’t know a whole lot about the specifics between different types of magnesium, but without getting into what she hast to take them for my wife said this was a specific type of magnesium that she needed so far the results have been better than your typical basic magnesium supplements
