Supplements, are regulated like foods by the FDA, so restrictions are much looser than for drugs. In addition, claims regarding efficacy aren’t often backed by science, so I don’t review supplements based on those claims. There are simply too many personal variable to definitively determine how a supplement will affect an individual. So instead I rate them based on 3rd party testing, the company’s reputation, and dosage cost.
Brieofoods is incorporated in New Jersey and claims that their supplements are manufactured in a cGMP facility and 3rd party tested. I’m inclined to believe this, as there are several companies in New Jersey that do Private Label manufacturing. That is, they make the product you want and slap your company label on it. Nothing wrong with that.
Dosage cost is quite reasonable at $0.04 per pill. Based on my research I’d be inclined to take half dosage, which lowers the cost to a measly $0.02. This is a fraction of what I paid back in my bodybuilding days when CP was the next big thing.
Formulation is quite standard for a pill, which has to include a bunch of junk to keep the pill intact. I’d prefer capsules, but for the cost I really can’t complain.
While chromium deficiency is quite rare, and the literature supporting supplementation is quite weak, the price of this tablet makes it an easy “can’t hurt, might help” buy.

Chromium picolinate is nothing new when it comes to the metabolism regulator. As a researching scientist in the metabolism institute, I was familiar this compound and I finally decided to give it a try.
Science:
First, chromium picolinate was researched as a drug for type 2 diabetes to enhance insulin sensitivity. For the people have T2D and in many people with obesity, the glucose metabolism is disrupted. So chromium was proposed as a compound to regulate this signaling and alleviate the symptom. From 2010 and after, large scale clinical trial shows conflicting result on the use of chromium picolinate, so effectiveness of this compound remains inconclusive. Recently, some researchers proposed chromium picolinate as metabolism regulator rather than insulin sensitivity enhancers, and results seems somewhat promising, so I gave it a try.
Anecdotal Feeling:
I feel a little less hungry after I take 1 pill around lunch, and I don’t feel craving which normally comes around 10PM after 3rd day of this supplement. So if you are healthy individual with slight overweight with no prescription drugs. According to the research, chromium picolinate may interact with metformin so may induceㄴ hypoglycemia in rare cases.
