Peni –
I’ve been taking these capsules for about a month along with liquid vitamins. My hair was falling out in masses. My son told me to try L- Cysteine. I bought it from the store & it made me sick. Couldn’t take it. I read the reviews about Solgar, decided to try it. These don’t bother me at all. Their easy to swallow. I’m not burping up a bad taste. I take 2 a day without a problem & I know their helping my hair.

Really can see hair growth. I have worst of any hair group — baby-fine, thin and very straight that doesn’t take kindly to perms.
I would have clumps of hair after washing. I have to use a wide-tooth comb and never mind the thought of a brush.
After 4 days I noticed a drastic reduction of hair on my comb and no fallout clumps after the second washing. I’m on my second bottle and the wispy new growth is staying in the follicles. And now I can actually brush it without worrying they will all be released. I’m having the normal 50-75 hairs on the brush I use to have 3X that every day. It takes consistency, 2 pills every day. AM and PM between meals. It takes patience since hair grows in cycles And it takes time. I’ve been at this for about 2 months before this review to make sure I gave it a chance.
1/4/24….3 1/2 years since the 1st review. WOW! yeah, I’m still taking it as long as I remember. Time and consistency remember. I take my cocktail in the morning after breakfast. 1 of these, 2 Vitamin C 1200mg lyposomal, and 100mg hyaluronic acid, then another 1 of these in the evening. I still have thin hair but a lot of the scalp is covered, not all. I see a lot of baby hairs and some do not stay after about 1 or 2 inches but the next hair growth cycle, some new ones stay a little longer. This is not a miracle solution. It’s probably not better than Px goop but I’m not ready for that yet.
I went on Vacay for 10 days and didn’t want to be bothered with pills. I practically lived on the beach and in the water. When I came back, I did see more hair fall in the mornings and it started clumping after a shower, sigh :(. So for me, it definitely needs to be done every single day.
Hope this helps and keep you motivated if you’re trying it.

Seems to be working in combination with Gelatin capsules for thicker hair and regrowth

Really, the only downside of this is that it is a little more expensive than some other brands. It is excellent quality, and my experience would suggest that it has good absorption. No clinical evidence, only that I’ve used it as compared with other products. It is labelled as vegetarian, soy free, gluten free, yeast free, sweetener free. As with most supplements, there are warnings to consult healthcare if pregnant or nursing.

I used bought from vitamin shop but they carry no longer.

This product is fantastic, but I have never tried a competitor, so I don’t know if it’s just the effect of supplementing the amino or because this particular product is so great. Certainly can’t go wrong with it though.

I read a few books around insulin resistance and one of them gave a combo of supplements that have some solid evidence that they aid in restoring insulin sensitivity. Magnesium, zinc, chromium, Vitamin D, and cystein are the 4 supplementss I started taking to help with non-diabetic insulin resistance (personally, I am just .1% below pre-diabetic on my AC1).
The main goal is to aid weightloss along with changes to my diet and exercise less. I swore off sugar and alcohol 6 months ago and started exercising regularly. I had lost 10ish pounds pretty quick and pretty much stalled out on weightloss. I started these supplements 2 week ago and stared urinating a lot. I literally urinated out 10ish pounds of water weight (an issue with insulin resistance) within 5 days. Since then I have maintained that loss and started trending downward in my weight again. I also just feel so much better not retaining so much water.
