No doubt, this supplement is a good quality one. Well and securely sealed, long shelf life, good thing that it’s vegan ,no fishy taste or smell . Not budget friendly, nice blue color , firmly and fully filed , medium size easy to swallow , inventory ( instead 30 ) are 33 capsules. Most important there no bad reactions or upset stomach getting them. Recommended brand. See my unboxing video about.

Usually even vegan DHA always smells very fishy to me. Most of the time it also tastes very fishy as well. I guess maybe this is anything from the sea tastes like this. Anyway with this product, the bottle does not smell fishy at all if you stick your nose in it. It smells kind of odd but I could not place it all and it is definitely not fishy. It says to take one which is very easy to do. They are a cool looking blue capsules. And putting it in my mouth it has the slightest fishy kind of flavor which I’m used to with DHA. But it is very very slight and barely there. Besides once I add water and drink it down it has no aftertaste. The capsules are nice and slippery so it makes it very easy to take. Definitely not fishy smelling or as fishy tasting as other DHAs that are vegan so kudos.

The last few years, I’ve been rotating between fish oil and algae oil for my daily omega-3 consumption. In prior years, I had been a loyal customer of Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega (sourced from fish oil) and this product from Nutritional Roots (sourced from algae oil) is a reminder of the existence of many quality alternatives. A lot of different opinions exist as to how much and at what ratio EPA and DHA should be consumed daily, so omega-3 supplements are typically differentiated by these attributes, as well as the sources and how these are processed. The aforementioned Nordic Naturals product uses a 1.44:1 EPA to DHA ratio, and contains other omega-3s not providing either of these, and this product from Nutritional Roots provides zero EPA. Quite the difference, right? While Nutritional Roots isn’t specifically targeted for prenatal usage, DHA boosts brain health making it suitable for this purpose, whereas most omega-3 oils provide anti-inflammatory effects due to being high in EPA. Put differently, EPA is considered more of a “neck-down” omega-3 and DHA is considered more of a “neck-up” omega-3. One of the key differentiators of this product relative to other algae oils is its inclusion of an “organic plant-based omega-3 blend” containing organic blue algae, organic chia seed, and organic flaxseed. While I’ve typically steered clear of flaxseed-containing products due to my experience with the “runs” these have given me, Nutritional Roots had no such negative effect on me. I’ve had a good experience with this product, which is offered at a decent price for a month supply.

I ordered these Vegan Marine Omega-3 DHA supplements, as omega-3 is extremely important for maintaining your overall health, as it provides benefits across the board.
Not only does this supplement help maintain healthy bones, but it directly targets the root cause of bone loss. This omega-3 supplement also aids in restoring and repairing your immune health, heart health, brain health, and joint health. It can even assist in weight loss.
With this, this product is also Vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, soy free, and non-GMO.
This product is only 30 softgels, giving you a one month supply. It’s nice that the daily serving size is only one capsule, compared to others on the market. With this, this product does not leave you with a fishy aftertaste.
I would recommend this supplement if you are looking for a new omega-3 supplement, especially if you are vegan. The price point is a bit high, but this is a great product. I have deducted one star simply because of the price point.

I used to take Cod Liver Oil liquid gels. At some point, I had switched over to Apple Cider Vinegar as a basic supplement. I recently got a bad tasting bottle of ACV and had decided to go back to getting Omega-3 supplements. I chose this one due to the Vegan aspect, (no fishy after effect?). These go down okay but unlike the slippery liver oil capsules I remember, these have a medicinal smell and for me the capsules require some water to swallow.
They are definitely pricier than other fish oils but seem okay otherwise.

I have been taking omega 3s for many years; I am a huge believer in the benefits for cardiovascular and immune health. In addition, I sometimes follow a well-known psychic medium who specializes in health advice, and he has specifically said that we all should be consuming vegetarian sources of omega 3’s since so much of the world’s fish are contaminated with toxins and heavy metals. I like the idea of eating low on the food chain in general and definitely think it’s a good idea to get omega 3’s from vegan sources. These capsules are made from algae and also flaxseeds (said to be good to prevent cancer) and chia seeds, which I know are all the rage right now but can’t remember why except that they make good chocolate pudding LOL. I have been taking these for a few days; the capsules are not large and are light, so they just float down your throat; they have a very faint clean odor of, maybe, pencil shavings?, not at all unpleasant; the product seems carefully made. Also they are bright blue!!! which makes me smile when I see them. I feel like I am protecting my health when I take these and I would definitely buy them again.
