This is a pretty cool new product to me- “Calcium Lactate Powder” by Vividye. It comes in a shaker bottle just like a bottle of spices, only larger because it has 6 ounces pf powder inside. You can slide the top over to the shaker part with little holes, or slide it more to expose a large hole meant to fill a a measuring spoon. The packaging is very nice and functional. I feel it belongs in my kitchen baking cabinet, rather than on my supplement shelf! I love the versatility I get with this one shaker bottle of unflavored crystal calcium powder. It thickens and emulsifies sauces, soups, and gravies. It’s a good stabilizer for frostings and whipped cream. The health benefits of calcium lactate are very well documented. You can get a daily supply of good quality calcium by adding this product to your smoothies, coffee or tea. There are so many uses that I think I will need to buy more very soon! Highly recommended!

I love this product because it does help thicken the consistency of liquid mixture. I used it with sweet dishes made of milk and it works very well. Just know how much you will need to mix for your portion.

After I experienced a bad bone break last year, I decided I needed to add calcium-rich foods or additives to my food. I do use one supplement to increase bone density, but food additives work too. Calcium lactate is an FDA-approved deemed to be safe, which I’m all into. Of course, companies add that this product is gluten-free. Excuse me, but there’s no wheat in calcium lactate.
I did some research, but highly suggest you do your own. I found out through DrugBank that calcium lactate has numerouos uses. They include use as a “firming agent, flavoring agent, leavening agent, stabilizer, and thickener.” I can put in in several different foods, particularly things like my yogurt. For example, if I put it in the yogurt, it won’t get that distasteful watery film. There’s a lot number and best by date printed on the top of the box. The price is most certainly reasonable at under $10.

This is a little shaker bottle labelled calcium lactate. I’ll upload pictures of the box and the bottle for you to see. I find it sketchy that the manufacturer put all these official looking logos on (FDA, MSDS, etc.) but the actual bottle has no food, supplement, or drug facts on it.
The product is a nondescript white micropellet. I tasted two or three and there was no taste noted.
Would I put this in food? no.
Would I offer this to my chickens as a calcium supplement? that’s the plan.

Aber auch in der Seifenherstellung ist Calciumlactat ein Hit! 🎉 Es macht die Seife härter und sorgt dafür, dass sie länger hält. Außerdem verstärkt es die Schaumbildung und macht den Schaum schön cremig. 🧼🫧
Ich hab’ Calciumlactat schon in selbstgemachten Cremes und Seifen verwendet und bin echt begeistert! 😍 Die Seifen sind viel fester und schäumen besser, und meine Haut fühlt sich nach der Anwendung super weich an. 🥰

I started taking this and liked it but now I am holding off due to the fact that I have high prolactin. Maybe it’s just the lactate word freaking me out. Gotta do some research. But aside from that issue, that hopefully most others wouldn’t have, I like this supplemental powder. Price is right. Ingredients seem good quality. Love having something I can take once a day and receive so many health benefits it one single supplement. Easy to swallow and no aftertaste. Good value.

Calcium lactate is (for me) a great way to keep my bone health strong as I get older. I take it daily along with vitamin D. This particular product is a good value and easy to shake on foods and into smoothies through it’s rotating top that dispenses small amounts through shaker holes, or larger amounts through one, larger hole. After using, you just rotate the top closed so no moisture or air gets in. Good design!
According to online medical sites, you can use calcium lactate for conditions caused by low calcium levels such as bone loss (osteoporosis and even osteopenia), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), and a certain muscle disease (latent tetany).
Other health benefits of calcium lactate are to improve bone strength, oral health and blood pressure, as well as maybe even lowering the risk of colon cancer in people unable to get enough of this mineral through their diet alone.
Supposedly, taking calcium before bed can help you sleep better. Check the amount to take – and all these supposed health benefits – with your health provider. I’m not a doctor, but these are health benefits I read online. For instance, the online health info does warn about potential side effects of taking calcium lactate – possible gastrointestinal discomfort, hypercalcemia, allergic reactions, muscle weakness, and frequent urination. And potential drug interactions should be taken into account too. So TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR.
And by putting this calcium lactate powder in smoothies, or my morning hot coffee, I don’t taste it, and it’s absorbed easily into the body by ingesting it this way
