I am very picky about my vitamin E. This is because I take this vitamin to improve my health, and my review of the research found that there is a HUGE difference between supplements in this regard. I picked this E for my personal use, because these capsules contain all 8 of the “natural” E components, without any of the “synthetic” E. As such I considered it the easiest/cheapest way to get a “good” vitamin E for my needs.
You see, vitamin E actually is sold in 9 different forms, and each form of E effects the body in a different way. 8 of the E forms are from “natural sources” (for example extracting them from nuts naturally high in E), but there is also (since the 1950’s) a lab created “synthetic” version of E as well. All 8 of the “natural” forms of E have some useful benefits for the body, but which parts of the body the E helps with does vary with the E form in question. As to the cheap “synthetic E”, it was originally constructed to mimic the most active form of the “natural E” but the duplication was only partially successful. Not only has later research shown that “synthetic E” is less effective than “natural E” containing only that single component but “synthetic E” has also been found to be a very minor poison to the human body as well. As such, taking “synthetic E” may actually be slightly worse then taking no E supplement at all. So I never buy/use “synthetic E” supplements, but I have sometimes taken multi-vitamins that contain a small amount of the synthetic E (in that case I’m taking the multi-vitamin for its non-E benefits).
NOTE:
Vitamin E is “fat soluble”. This means that if you take E without any dietary fat, there is a good chance the E will just make it all the way through your digestion system without ever interacting with your body. However, if you take a small amount of “dietary fat” with the E, the E will bind to the fat and then your body will process both together. I often handle this problem by taking a “fish oil tablet” at the same time I take my E tablet. But I have sometimes used other “fat sources” (such as a small glass of milk or a salad with dressing) when taking my E. The important thing to remember is that “dietary fat” needs to be taken with the E for the E to be effective in your body.

Great price for the right fish oils! Everyone pushes the idea of fish oils improving health but most don’t realize it’s actually the EPA & DHA fatty acids that aid your body the most! After researching quite extensively I found this fish oils to have some of the highest amounts of both EPA & DHA fatty acids at an amazing price! There’s other products with as much or more EPA & DHA but will cost you an arm and a leg. The strawberry flavor also helps with the burps (fish oil floats at the top of the stomach and takes a little while to mix with other stomach goodies).

This is a great bargain for a high-quality, high potency, high EPA fish oil supplement. If you have trouble swallowing normal size fish oil pills like these, this exact same supplement comes in mini pills too (you just have to take 4 instead of 2).

These do seem to really help depression, though I’ve not taken them long enough yet to reap maximum benefit, which I hope will be even better. They do smell strange, since you don’t expect fish to smell like fruit though.

From the photo it looks like you receive a little sized bottle of a supplement so I was surprised when the bottle was really large, at least twice the size of the ordinary off the shelf supplements I typically purchase.
The price on Amazon wasn’t too bad in my opinion. It was about what I would expect from a quality product.
The psychiatrist for my son and also the pdoc suggested this brand in particular stating it was the only one containing the ingredients with the peer reviewed research to back up its effectiveness for depression. The psychiatrist went so far as to say, ‘try this first before prescription medication.’ (My son is 12 and suffers from depression.)
The pills were a little large for him to swallow at first, but they taste fruity and not fishy. There is no burping or bad after taste.
They did not cure depression or effect my mood in anyway that I could tell but I think they are a healthy addition to the diet.

I have taken this supplement for many years now and this brand has been the best. The pill is large as are others, but it is easy to swallow the pill surprisingly smells satisfying when others have had a fishy smell.

Purchased because of mention in a book I was reading (The Depression Cure by Stephen S. Ilardi). You may have guessed that I was reading the book because I was depressed; you’d be right. I was already taking a good quality multi-vitamin, along with Vitamin C and a pro-biotic. All that was missing was the fish oil. I ordered this bottle, and started taking immediately. I was definitely impressed by the price. Less than 2 days after taking my first dose, I woke up and felt amazing. I thought it may have been a fluke, or “in my head,” so I waited a few days to write this review. But I am still feeling awesome, for the most part. But I have also been feeling something else, that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. I now realize that the feeling was anxiety. I have been generally uneasy, and was unable to fall asleep for several hours last night. I Googled it, and apparently it really happens. I think I will decrease my dose per day (you are supposed to take 2 capsules, I will decrease to just 1), and hopefully, everything will even out!
So, overall, 5 stars for the product, but 2 stars off for the side effects (I am hoping to come back and change to 4 stars if decreasing the dose works)!
