The taste Isn’t necessarily bad but just super strong! I cannot consume this stuff! It tastes like sour,super condensed fruit. Like if you ate that frozen juice that comes in a can straight times 10!

Just let me explain, further. For decades, I’m fully interested in researching, understanding, and using natural supplements, especially those with great quality and potency. However, it takes time to see and measure the full results and benefits of any food supplements, including this one. For this reason, my rating is based on several factors. On immediacy, the supplement may have reaction on me or not, depending on my body’s immunity level and response, which is different to other users. The overall product packaging that contains vital information about the ingredients, processing the content, and quality, or whether the supplement is easy to swallow, the flavor, and value for money are also part of my assessment. My recommendation here should not be taken as a third-party lab test result or medical advice, rather, as an observation of a non-medical user. Prolonged use may cause immunity or increase toxicity level. As such, I’ll leave to the user the discretion to continue using this supplement.
As for me, I’m giving Terrapick’s Collagen Extract Stick a 5 star rating.

I haven’t had a collagen packet like this. I have had powdered ones but not straight edible from the tube. For having pomegranate and pineapple I’d expect a orangey color or reddish color but this was a striking black syrup. Taste is subjective but to me— It tastes good, though not actually citrusy imo. I found it reminded me more of molasses than anything. I found it quite good and had me reminiscing about eating molasses from the jar at grandma’s house. I had no issues with getting it down but I can see how it might be a bit too much for some. I actually really enjoy this. It is disappointing there isn’t as much collagen in it as in the powders. Is that perhaps because they are bovine and this is fish? Not sure but would need to know if it has the same overall absorbed amount before deciding to repurchase at this price. If it is more effective so you need less, then around $1/packet is pretty reasonable. Otherwise, you would need to consume several of these a day to get the level of benefit other alternatives are offering per serving. (The box says 1pakcet per day) That would make this astronomical in price comparison. I like the convenience of individual packets for on the go but, unlike powders in packets, I feel like I might waste some of the goo in the creases by not squeezing every last drop out. On the flip side, I don’t need a liquid to put this into (like powders) so it is more versatile. A great alternative but would need more research/clarification before making a final decision.

I ordered this for my wife and other family members who take a collagen supplement daily for their hair and skin. I’m not making any actual health claims for collagen supplements, but I do work every day in health care and I understand the physiology; and I’ve listened to the opinions and explanations of the registered dietitians that I work with at a local hospital.
Collagen is a large complex protein with multiple interwoven strands, and since proteins are broken down in the small intestine to mostly component amino acids by digestive enzymes/proteases, the idea is that collagen supplements contain the component amino acids needed to maintain nice hair and skin. Clearly there is more going on than just having the right amino acids available too, since we get those from other sources of protein in our diet as well. Collagen is abundant in meat and animal products, so if not eating a lot of these, a supplement may make some sense. Collagen itself is an animal product, so Vegans will probably want to steer clear.
This particular supplement is ok, one tube contains 2 grams of protein, sourced from fish collagen, per the information on the box. (5 grams is about a teaspoon.) This also contains pomegranate extract with a little pineapple for a total of 4 grams of sugar and a total of 25 calories; there is no added sugar. I did eat one of these before giving the rest of the box to my family members. I think it tastes good, it has a tart pomegranate flavor that is only a little sweet; I’m glad it is not overpoweringly cloyingly sweet, that would have ruined it for me. The collagen gives it a bit of a slick, gel-like texture. The top of the tube tears off easily revealing a tiny hole and I squeeze it into my mouth. I then cut the whole top off with scissors to open the entire top of the tube to make it easier to eat.
The small box has bilingual information, in both English and Korean. The tubes are attractively packaged with most of the information in Korean, so I will save the box for now so I can refer back to the nutrition labels as long as we still have some left. The box is also a good mini-storage container, I will probably keep it and continue to use it for other things when the supplements are gone.
So how to rate this, it is such a small amount of collagen, no where near, for example, scooping collagen powder into a smoothie, this almost seems like a gimmick to me. I get far more fish collagen just by eating a piece of fish. But it tastes good, my family members like it, and for persons who eat almost no meat, fish, or other animal products, and who are not Vegan, there is some value here. Understanding all of that, this is an attractive presentation and product for a 2 gram serving of collagen protein.

Couldn’t finish it the smell is very earthy and the taste was like prunes juice? I thought it was a user error so u tried again with cold water instead of room temp like the first attempt but again the taste is gross.

I have used collagen before, and it has actually helped me with joint issues, although I haven’t used any from a fish source before. This product does not make that claim, of helping the joints, but I know that collagen can help the skin and other parts of the body.
I really like the convenience of these little tubes. The box they come in is sturdy and good for storing them. They taste pretty good for a collagen supplement. I am pleased with this product so far, and hope it will help my skin after some time using it.
