But is by no means optimal. Started on iodine/potassium iodide 2 days ago, and what a difference. Slept like a dead rock, which is quite a feat for a 20 yr chronic insomniac. And if it wasn’t for animal care, I could have slept a whole 10 hrs like I did in my 20’s-30’s. That was a happy side effect (for me, anyway). As far as anything else, I have more energy, another happy side effect. Good thing, YOU try walking an Anatolian on a leash when you’re half dead from lack of sleep.
And to think I only bought it because a doctor recommended Lugol’s and an increase in iodine/potassium iodide intake for fibroids (which remains to be seen). Thank you, Dr Brownstein!

This listing says it’s Lugol’s Iodine Tablets, but no where on the bottle does it say that.
By definition Lugol’s solution contains 100 mg/mL of potassium iodide and 50 mg/mL of iodine. In other words, two parts iodide to one part iodine. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT THAT CONSISTENCY. It states on the back label that each dosage is 7.5mg iodide and 5mg iodine. NOT LUGOL’s at all! With that much iodide the iodine should only be 3.5mg. Alternately, with 5mg iodine there should be 10mg iodide.
I will have to do further research to see if this pairing is good, bad, or what. But it is NOT Lugol’s iodine protocol!
