    I was using a name brand Poly-Iron supplement which was much more expensive. That product worked great, especially since I have been chronically anemic for quite a few years now. A little over a year ago I started taking the name brand supplement when my hemoglobin levels were down to a 7. But after taking the supplement my levels improved greatly to somewhere around 11 or 12.

    A couple months ago I switched to this to see if I could save money. I recently had a blood draw and my hemoglobin levels were at a 14! So this has continued to work just as effectively as the name brand without any side-effects that I have noticed. Traditional iron tablets would hurt my stomach, but I take these without issue. My energy levels have improved quite a bit too. I take a daily vitamin B supplement which helps with energy, but I have noticed lately that if I forget to take it I’m not completely exhausted like I used to be.

    Overall these are a lot more affordable than the brand name supplements, work just as well, and did I mention more affordable?

    I used this product and my Dr. told me to discontinue using it last blood work. I’d had a serious problem with iron infusions in my future so I asked my MD if I could supplement and see if I could avoid iron infusions. Now I have issues absorbing iron from food which caused my deficiency – you may get different results and not need it – GET your Dr to give you blood work to test – very important- you not supplement iron on your own. Any way, this worked for me. Only reason I didn’t give a 5th star is that occasionally I did get some aftertaste from it but not enough that I would give up taking it given the results I achieved with it.

    My husband needs iron replacement medication. Unfortunately he will wait til he’s totally out or almost out. PolyIron is one of the few over the counter iron supplements with the larger dosage he requires. Ordering on Amazon is wonderful! PolyIron arrived within 1-2 days. The price is affordable and PolyIron keeps his iron levels in the normal range as well as his hemoglobin.

    When I was recently found to have iron deficiency anemia, my practitioner immediately started me on these rather than the many other formulations of iron, They are gentle on the stomach not causing naud=sea even when taken on an empty stomach. Like all iron supplements, they do cause constipation so be prepared to remedy that with stool softeners or vegetable laxatives like DSS and Senna. I do prefer the multidose bottle like this rather than the more inexpensive single-dose packets that you have to individually open each time; Those packets are hard for me to open, irritate me to no end, and end up all over the floor and house somehow, I much prefer this bottle at a bit of an extra cost for my convenience. My iron levels came up to normal within a month by taking them twice a day (from barely registering on lab prior to treatment. So, I have lab proof that these supplements work! You just can’t argue with science!

    I took these with breakfast and I didn’t get a stomach ache. Iron usually makes me really sick.
