I appreciate Usnea, otherwise known as Old Man’s Beard, for its ability to provide digestive support, as a gut health supplement, and for general healing and support. It’s nice to be able to have this in tincture form for internal use, as I also have this in salve form for external use. Both are valuable. This tincture tastes mellow and decent, very easy to take and soothing to digest. Usnea grows on trees in the Pacific Northwest, from California to Alaska, but only grows where the air is healthy.
4 stars instead of 5 as this company hasn’t launched their website yet and I’m not sure of the source of their materials since there is no currently published information. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but i would want to know more before ordering a second bottle.

This tincture is used for a variety of ailments. It aids in our recovery fairly effectively. It tastes lot better than an alcohol-based tincture, but I don’t think it’s as strong. I heartily recommend it! Side-effect-free antibiotic!

I am reviewing this Usnea Tincture Organic Herb. This is a Liquid Extract used for Cleansing and Detoxification. I like that this is Made in the USA, Alcohol Free and Vegan. This comes in a 2 Fl Oz bottle and serving size is .7 ml. I am new to using tinctures so I was excited to see this was made in the USA as that made me feel more secure about trying this. The directions state to shake the bottle well then Mix with water, juice, or smoothie beverage to feel all benefits of this tincture. I drink a healthy smoothie daily so this was an easy way to take this product. Time will tell if this works well for me.

As I have many chronic illnesses I rely on supplements to improve my life. They make me feel better, and it’s even easier for me when I get something in tincture form. This way, I can actually tell much easier if I notice a difference or not. I do realize that not every single supplement might give a noticeable effect in how you feel in the following 5 minutes. I have obtained quite a few tinctures from this brand now. I’m a fan =D I definitely believe this is doing something, but since I thought this herb was for weight loss I’ve been careful not to take it too close to bedtime as I’m not sure what the effect is on my metabolism. I already have trouble sleeping and I don’t want something keeping me awake. With that being said, I need to put further research into whether or not I can take this close to bedtime or not. Because of this, I have maybe only taken this for around 7 days total. I might need more time to notice and evaluate what exactly this does for me. But I’m still confident in its efficacy. I’ve been a big believer in herbal medicine for decades. This is only my personal opinion. I am in no way, shape or form making any medical claims. I will need to update this review later on regarding exactly what I’ve noticed this does for me, as I plan on moving it to a different location in my house so I can take this early in the morning.

This is an herb (a lichen, but looks like a mossy growth) that does not grow locally so I was pretty excited to receive it and test.
So far I’ve only caught a cold that I allowed to go untreated (I normally would take oregano oil, mullein, echinacea, and (poor piglatin here) “ermectin-iv-ay” that turned into a nasty sinus infection (as is my wont due to foolish and casual use of antibiotics in my early 20’s, my microbiome is still recovering). On the first day that I was CERTAIN I was ill (not from the cold, but from the resulting sinus infection), I started taking the usnea sublingually twice a day and the sinus infection did not cling to me for months the way sinus infections tend to do me!
The worst of the sinus infection only lasted a day or two; that sort of sinus infection used to leave me with pneumonia, that was how my entire young adult life went. Catch a cold (or seasonal allergies), cold turns into sinus infection, sinus infection turns into pneumonia with the infection still there, pneumonia to doctor, doctor prescribes antibiotics, rinse and repeat 4x a year.
Long and short, I plan on purchasing this again.
