I love how easy this is to mix and create DIY healthy sunscreen. The only down side is zinc Really can give you a clown like white face so you have to be careful. Still, it has a wonderful consistency. The product amount is generous and the price is affordable. Happy with the quality and price.

In my quest to create a natural sunscreen, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide was an indispensable ingredient. It has delivered outstanding sun protection without the use of harmful nano particles – a win for my skin health!
Here’s the simple recipe I followed:
• 1 oz Grass-fed Tallow
• 1 oz Coconut Oil
• 1.5 oz Avocado Oil
• 1/2 oz Beeswax
• 1/2 oz Shea Butter
• 2 tbsp Non-nano Zinc Oxide
• 1/2 tbsp Cacao
Combine all these ingredients in a double boiler and melt until they are well combined. Then pour the mixture into a glass container and let it cool.
The Non-Nano Zinc Oxide played a crucial role in this recipe. Already burned to a crisp earlier this month, skin peeling, I bought sunscreen (tested for safety–presumably on shaved cats and dogs, or inside the eyes of mice, who knows? ) and upon first application on nose and cheeks, started coughing spasmodically with throat swelling, perhaps from the chemical “fragrance” which was supposed to smell like “coppertone”.
I decided to make my own sunscreen using oils, lotions, vitamins, etc that i know i am NOT allergic to and with only 2 Tablespoons of this zinc oxide powder. Have not developed a burn at all since starting to use this. It works.
