I want to add first that I have tried other mag/calcium supp’s to try and sleep. For years, I have had trouble sleeping (especially falling asleep). I have been on prescription (Ambien) many times and that always works, but I didn’t want to keep using med’s. I have experimented and tried everything you can imagine. No, this product alone doesn’t do the trick, but combined with others, it is now my only real working option – every night.
What I have tried:
Ambien, many ZMA’s, Kava Kava, Natural Calm, OTC Sleep Aids, Oils, Valerian Root – plus several other supp’s. Over the Counter Sleep Aids have worked but have side-effects and they actually push me deeper into restless legs from time to time. But I finally have the solution with supp’s purchased from Amazon and this really does work for me…
No recommendations on specific products – even this one – I just hope this helps others.
Natural Calm – 2-3 tsp’s in warm water (4oz) for me… taken right when you want to go to bed
1-3 Niacin Tablets (I want the flush) and I use 3 500mg prolonged release
1 MAG 64 (Adding the natural calm keeps my mag levels high) – plus you won’t have a problem with BM’s the next day (find your perfect amount)
1 Melatonin 10mg – 5mg instant release and 5mg extended release
I mix the natural calm in warm water and drink it immediately with the supp’s above and turn the light out and I sleep great for 8 hours
I hope this will work for others. I have taken Niacin for awhile so I am use to the flush feeling that some say makes them itch – you may want to start with 100mg but you need the regular Niacin to get the flush feeling – helps my restless legs and the minor flush brings on a calm feeling. Natural Calm helps calm me down too. This Mag64 has a nice prolonged release that I have tried not taking and my sleep wasn’t as solid.
