- DIRECTIONS: Take 1-3 times a day, with or without food. Mix quickly with 12oz or more of liquid (juice will help it taste better.) Shake for 2-3 seconds in a closed jar. Psyllium has an earthy taste. Mix with juice to mask this taste. FYI – DRINK IMMEDIATELY: Psyllium is like a sponge. Drink it quickly before it absorbs the liquid. Don’t let it sit for more than few seconds after mixing. It will become too thick to drink.

My doctor told me to try taking fiber for my cholesterol levels. All the usual brands like MetMucil etc are LOADED with sugars and unhelpful fluff. I did plenty of research on this brand and was a little spooked when the directions warned us against the psyllium fibers bloating really fast in liquid. I thought it would taste horrible and be hard to swallow; but thats not the case at all. I usually pour 8oz of water into a cup, dash of something else like juice or lemon water if you want some flavor. THEN pour the psyllium in and shake, drink immediately. Its not bad at all and I noticed the effects in about two days. Never got bloated, digestion was excellent. I drink it right before y first meal. Highly recommend this brand compared to others because its organic to little to not arsenic or lead naturally found in soil.

I was using Metamucil for about 20 years and switched to this brand after learning about the lead content in Metamucil. I also like that there is no sweenter added. This seems to do a better job, been using for a week now.
