I have had digestive issues my whole life. Dairy, especially, will cause cramps, sweating, gas, and many painful and frantic trips to the toilet. I’ve tried taking lactaid pills or drinking lactose-free milk but it hasn’t really helped. If I eat pizza or ice cream, I’m going to have a bad time. I would choose my dinner based on my plans for the next day—if I was going to go in to work or had to be out of the house, I’d be sure to eat something that would be easier on my digestive system for fear of spending most of the next morning in the bathroom.
I was skeptical of these pills, but I tried them. They are small, flavorless, clear capsules that are filled with a white powder. I have been taking one with the first bite of my meals (and desserts). For about the first week, it seemed to be working, I was not having my usual discomfort after meals. However, I did feel a bit “heavy” in the gut area—not constipated, but just a bit more full than I usually feel. It probably was because I am not used to things staying with me for more than a few hours.
After the first week, that feeling of heaviness subsided and I’ve felt normal. I’ve dared to eat chili and ice cream for dinner and was able to fall asleep without breaking out into a cold sweat and spending the evening on the toilet. I’ve had extra cheesy pizza and gone out shopping afterward and felt okay. Now, it hasn’t been 100% perfect. There have been some times here and there where I still have had an upset stomach, but overall it has been quite an improvement!

I had high hopes for this product as it seems to be a “one size fits all” solution to digestive issues. After several weeks of one-pill-a-day use, I haven’t really noticed any reduction in gas/bloating as advertised. The pills themselves do have a slightly unpleasant taste, but it dissipates quickly after a sip or two of any flavored beverage. I, unfortunately, can’t say that this product made a difference for me, but since each of our microbiome’s are different, you might obtain different results.

Digestive enzymes by Good Digestion made in the USA. I struggled to access the website for this company as shown on the package. My first time using them and this seems to be their only product on Amazon. This is a 3 month dose of extra strength digestive enzyme complex if taken once a day. I have a gluten allergy and a dairy sensitivity so avoid both and take an enzyme supplement with my meals for extra help. The strength of this is good and the range is very good. I eat a high fiber whole food mainly plant based diet and had no issues switching to this or since. Happy with this although I would like to know more about this company.

I bought these on a whim after being frustrated with other digestive supplements. I’m sensitive to a bunch of different things (including gluten). Anyway, I tried this one out and don’t fully know which ingredient in it helped me but it’s actually been pretty good!
