Bought this product on recommendation, and I guess it doesn’t work on everyone… made my stomach worse . I found that Nutra-life Digestive triple Action worked better for me.

I have extremely dry mouth because of radiation treatment for thyroid cancer. I basically have no saliva. This makes eating extremely difficult! I either need to sip liquid with each bite or eat soups in order to be able to swallow food. On top of this, I have developed terrible heartburn because of compromised digestion. Digestion starts in the mouth with the mixing of enzymes in saliva with food.
Okay–I have used these enzymes for years and like them quite a bit. I have continued to use them with my new situation but with limited success. I dreaded each meal because of the above things when I remembered that you can open a capsule and sprinkle it directly on food.
Viola!!!!! I first sprinkled on a cheeseburger and fries. OMG–it was juicy and I did not have to sip sip sip. And no heartburn after! Next meal, breakfast, I was choking down a bowl of oatmeal when I remembered this trick. Sprinkle–again, my mouth felt moist and the food was being broken down in my mouth as I ate. Okay, at lunch–a salad with rice. Sprinkle–yay!
According to info I read on Wikipedia about saliva enzymes this formula has two of the four enzymes listed as being in saliva: amylase and lipase. A third, lysozyme, apparently kills bacterias and viruses that ride along into our mouths. I decided to take a grapefruit seed extract capsule at the beginning of my meal. So far so good. Then a fourth substance, haptocorrin, apparently helps with assimilation of B12. Haven’t figured this one out yet.
If someone could come up with a formulation with these components that could be sprinkled on food it would change the lives of so many people.
The powder from the capsule has a very mild taste. Unless you are a super taster this would probably not present a problem.
I am so encouraged with this discovery I cannot begin to tell you. If you know anyone who suffers like this please suggest they give these enzymes a try. It is a game changer!!’

I have had all kinds of digestive and intestinal issues in the past and present. I was having severe Crohn’s like symptoms for a while until I went dairy free, and eventually vegan, about two years ago(no animal products in my diet) to heal my body from the inside out. I have witnessed major changes in ALL of my autoimmune-like symptoms by adopting this new lifestyle.
Although my most severe GI symptoms have disappeared, I have always been prone to bloating immediately after eating. The bloating often seems to last for days, then comes the constipation. It always felt to me like my food digested too slowly to be eliminated in order to make room for my next meal or something. I would have bowel movements, but they left much to be desired, and I could tell that I was not eliminating all of the waste. I began to notice that my autoimmune symptoms would flare up and worsen when I was constipated, almost like all of the toxins were beginning to build up in my intestinal tract and leaching out into my blood stream. So, I thought I would give my digestive system some help and started taking these.
It has only been about 2 weeks but WOW: I have not been bloated or constipated once since I starting taking these. I have purposefully ate offending foods that I knew normally would back me up or cause acid reflux but these have done the trick for me every time. I take one capsule before or during a meal, usually once or twice a day. I am also taking NOW Foods Probiotic-10 25 Billion, 50 Vcaps to support my digestive system as well.

I chose this rating because these enzymes work very well. They are priced so much better than those other digestive enzymes on the market and work better… again IMHO. Perhaps due to my particular body chemistry. I love that they are plant based which makes them an extra plus IMHO. My bowel movements are regular now used in conjunction with other elements. I also use Diatamaceous earth, nascent Iodine, and Nature’s Way Optima probiotics as well. But since I added these back into my plan everything is smoothing out and I am able to digest dairy and fats a-lot better!!! I even eat Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and have no problem at all. It almost seems like this stuff maybe builds up in the system or something because some days I don’t even have to take them. I just love them and love how well they blend with all the other elements I use. I hope this helps others that are looking into buying these!!! One more thing that really helps is keeping sure that the liver and gallbladder are functionally properly as well. I drink Organic dandelion tea as well as other bile stimulating herbs and that really helps too!!!!!
