I’m here –
I’m a long distance runner, and my sweat is salty especially during the warmer months. I’ve always used a electrolyte mixture that contains sodium chloride, but it was not enough. My mix also contains potassium and magnesium, so increasing the dose was not the direction I wanted to take.
This extra sodium helps to avoid the cramping of my leg (soleus muscles) and toes. If you’ve ever had the night time wake-up call by Charlie horses (involuntary nocturnal contractions) you know how painful and annoying they can be. These sodium tablets are small and easy to swallow. Not like taking a 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Yuck. Simple solution. Simple formula. I make sure I drink the recommended (not noted here) amount of fluids for my weight and activity level.
I would purchase this product again especially for the convenience and cost value.

I’m not sure what I expected exactly, but was more than a little surprised to discover these tablets were literally table salt compressed to a tablet shape. I tried one and it tasted like I had just put a giant amount of salt on my tongue. Bleck. I imagine there are better supplements out there where the salt is encased in a capsule so you don’t actually have to taste it directly. As it is, I will probably use this for cooking.
PS I had a hilarious exchange with my husband, who was arguing with me whether sodium chloride was indeed table salt. “Yes, honey, NaCl is what you eat every day. Remember, I’m the one with the STEM degree…”

I like that the Heivy sodium chloride tablets are made in the USA and non-GMO. You get a large quantity of these for a decent price. The tablets taste like salt as they are actually salt, so no surprise or issue there for me. These are great to have in survival kits and just to have on hand if needed.

I have a dysautonomia condition called POTS so my doctor wants me to up my sodium intake as high as possible. I have to get somewhere between 3,000 and 10,000 mg of sodium per day and don’t like salty food. Obviously I still want to stay healthy, though, so these are a great choice. These taste as expected (salty) with no unusual aftertaste. They’re not big horse pills and I don’t have any trouble getting them down–taking them with a flavored drink helps. I don’t have any stomach upset after taking them, but do note that these are pure salt tablets and not buffered. If you have digestive upset taking salt tablets buffered might be a better solution for you, but these are a great value for people who can take them.

These tablets are a great addition to my hydration routine! They’re small, easy to swallow, and dissolve quickly in water. I’ve noticed an improvement in my energy levels and overall hydration, especially after workouts. They’re unflavored, so they don’t interfere with the taste of my drinks. These are just salt pills. Sodium Chloride is just the scientific name for salt. My doctor suggested that I take one of these 1000 mg salt pills each night, before I go to sleep. It keeps my sodium levels up, which tend be a bit low. Hence, avoiding electrolyte problems. It also helps with my night time trips to the bathroom to pee. They are largish pills, so a little bit difficult to swallow, but with a glass of water they go down okay. They do a good job.
