I recently started using powdered collagen after my Dr suggested trying it for joint pain. It’s working well, but with the powders you need a full scoop and I just can’t quite stomach the full dose. This is a nice way to add a little more collagen, without the powder. It smells like absolutely nothing, which shocked me. Not fishy in the least. It’s easy to swallow unless you don’t do big pills. It’s about the size of a prenatal, if you’ve used those before. Great product!

My daughter has been taking collagen supplements for years, and urging me to try it for the purported benefits for my skin and joints. I don’t really have high expectations, but taking supplements of this type from a reputable brand is generally regarded as safe. I would definitely consider this as a well-respected, quality brand and I like that the marine collagen (from wild cod) used in this product is sourced from sustainable fisheries. There are many types of collagen — more than 25. The most abundant form of collagen in the human body is Type 1 which is the type found in these supplements. I don’t take the full dose as recommended on the bottle as I have a hard time getting large pills down. They are ovoid so there are no sharp edges, but they are pretty big, so right now I am just taking one per day. I figured I might be able to work my way up. I do prefer taking them in a pill form rather than mixing a powder with food or a beverage. I am happy to say there is no scent or taste that I can detect (I am still suffering nightmares from the cod-liver oil my Mom used to give me every morning in the winter — that was decades ago, and I still haven’t forgiven her!) + there is no aftertaste either. I take my pill on an empty stomach, as directed and have had no digestive issues with taking this supplement. The current price of $21.97 is a bit high, but still within reason for a one-months supply (90 pills, recommended does is 3/day). The pills are packed in an amber colored glass bottle which I will certainly repurpose….

This DR. MERCOLA Wild Caught Marine Collagen Dietary Supplement product really does seem to have an effect on my body. While taking the full bottle I noticed my nails grew faster. My hair seemed fuller and that’s a win for me.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, I feel like this is working overall. Skin, nails & hair are all improved. I have tried inferior products and noted that all positive benefits seems to stop. This product is consistent and seems to be quality. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]

Those infatuated with the word “sustainability” will like this product, despite the reality we have no idea where this product is sourced. Just know that “sustainability” is just another marketing buzz word to make you feel good about purchasing something…in the end, this is a product and company driven by profits just like all other companies, minus any meaningful oversight.
Several reviewers expressed their concerns about the large tablet size….apparently these reviewers were incapable of cutting them to suite their swallowing preferences. If you can swallow an almond you easily can swallow these, or cut them to your preferred size…problem solved!
