After taking this product for two weeks, my migraines and gastrointestinal issues gradually returned. I didn’t realize that the powder was the cause until later. It’s crucial to be cautious since the damage to the body may increase slowly.
I rated this product with five stars due to its incredible marketing. It was so effective that it actually deceived me into purchasing this foolish powder.

I got this because it is from Host Defense and the reputation of the owner, but I cannot tell if it is working or not. I definitely feel it working more with other brands, so what I think is it may have too many fillers and not be pure enough? I think it is good value for the money, but it also is not pleasant to taste and it gives my coffee a bitter taste. So, I may go back to capsules and maybe a different brand.

We LOVE this Lion’s Mane! Paul is a very trusted mycologist so it’s great to see he has his own brand (I’m a fan of his books myself). It doesn’t dissolve, but that was to be expected. The flavor is very mild and unnoticeable when mixed into food. Our whole family including our kids take it and we highly recommend it to everyone looking to improve mental clarity and memory!

This product is outstanding and I wouldn’t be without it ever!! It’s all natural and enhances my memory incredibly well. I cannot say enough about it and encourage anyone with a need to enhance their memory to use it!!

The first few months dreams were extremely plentiful and colorful, I believe, because the brain neurons were firing so strong. Within these few months I had overcame my PTSD by dreaming thru the traumatic event. My profession was Forester/Firefighter for 43 yrs. I also found myself laughing more often and more easily. All of these effects were the same for my friends who tried this product when hearing of my stories. After the first few months, the dreams were still plentiful but without the bright colors. After that, premonitions and memory recall were greatly enhanced. I remember names now to a degree that I never had before. Also, my guess is there is a symbiotic relationship with this mushroom, as in all mushrooms in nature with their host, and the individual using it as a daily supplement. Whatever physical (minor quirk) I had disappeared within 6 months, from that bump on the soft pallet of the mouth I received from eating a tortilla chip in my 20″s to what I thought was a precancerous (extremely small) growth, since my 40’s that just fell off/out of my epidermis and never came back. In other words, whatever minor physical thing your thinking about the mycelium in the brain tells your body to get to work on fixing it. If you’re happy and healthy, its happy. After recently reading that fungus coaxed water plants to come live on land in earths far past, I wondered what that evolutionary missing link was that allowed this to happen. 2 weeks later, the thought came to me “what is lichen?”. Well of course it is a plant, as I was taught in school 50 years ago. 2 hours later the same question; “what is lichen?”. So I Googled it. Lichen (today) is defined as the symbiotic relationship between algae and fungus. Jeez, that was the missing link I had wondered about on how plants came to live on land. There are many more examples of things I’ve noticed over the last 2 years going. The people I’ve noticed this mushroom does not have an effect on are narcissists and BS experts. I assume the neural growth and connections in the brain, promoted by this mushroom, cannot be made on these individuals because the events they express never really happened. Anyway, my take.

I have only been taking the Lion’s Mane for 4 days now. I am again sleeping through the night, experiencing increased energy and improved cognition. I usually take the Stamets 7, but having covid 5 weeks ago impacted my cognition which was quite troubling. Thank you Stamets for your quality products.

I first learned about Paul Stammets and his mushrooms in a podcast. My good friend also recommended his supplement based on first hand experience. I decided to try it out, and at first, like with any supplement, I expected to barely feel an effect. I was wrong. You can feel a stimulant effect within the first week. Could be placebo, who knows, but the most quantifiable benefit I received from dosing lion’s mane is that my chronic headaches and migraines greatly diminished. That’s not an advertised benefit, could be a side effect, but I value it greatly for this among other benefits. Through surface level research I learned that when supplementing lion’s mane, it’s advised you dose for 2 weeks at a time. Meaning, 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. I’m testing this out now, will update review with findings.
Update 12/6/22: I’m now wrapping up week 11 on this supplement and here’s what I found. If you take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it works best. The strong stimulant effect I was feeling at first is mostly gone, and this is not to say supplementing this doesn’t sharpen my senses, it does, it’s just curved down it’s coffee-like effect in me. Disclaimer: I’m hyper sensitive to caffeine!
I continue to take it because it helps me feel more comfortable in my ability to handle a tough (mental) workload. It could very well be a placebo effect, but I feel I even have a better attitude about things while supplementing with lion’s mane. Strangely, this also greatly lessens my chronic migraines. I noticed that strange benefit right away, and i noticed that when I’m cycling off lion’s mane, the migraines don’t immediately resurface, but if i begin to go longer than a week without the lion’s mane, the migraines worsen back to their normal levels. That benefit alone is enough to convert me into a lifelong customer.

This was recommended to me by my personal consultant after I had a bad case of COVID. Have been taking it for about three years. Mix it in with my beet powder and collagen powder. Got another brand one day that was less expensive and it stunk. Couldn’t get it down. Threw it in the trash. This mixes in and I don’t taste it!
