Fish oil is such an essential supplement (more on that later), but between the huge pills and the fishy aftertaste, it can be a super difficult habit to maintain. I stopped and started taking fish oil so many times until I found these Nature Made pills. Let’s face it, any fish oil pill is gonna be big, but these are much smaller, especially considering two will give you 1400 mg of Omega-3, which is a good amount. (Many of my doctors over the years have recommended 2400-2800 mg daily, but I’m just not going to take that many pills.) A thicker coating may be helping these be more “Burp less,” which is polite way of saying you’re less likely to get what they call a fishy “repeat.” It will still happen on occasion though, in which case I eat a spoon or two of peanut butter (or any strong flavored food) to help cut the taste. It only happens to me rarely now. I enrolled in Subscribe & Save with these, which gives me a slightly lower price. The fact a bottle arrives automatically once a month also helps keep me on track with taking it. Taking two a day with a full dinner (which I recommend so the food can help evenly digest the fish oil), I go through one bottle of 60 tabs a month. Now on to the benefits I’ve noticed after 20 yrs of taking fish oil on and off (between ages 40-60). In general, lower inflammation and greater hydration throughout my body. Help with joint pain and quicker post-exercise recovery. Reduced arthritis and general aging related aches and pains. Improved skin, hair and nails. Easing symptoms of dry eye and mouth. You see the pattern: Less inflammation and more moisture. Consider how beneficial those two factors are to your body, particularly from the wear and tear of age. This is just what I can see and feel, who knows what other benefits regular Omega-3 supplementation may bring. It’s very hard to impossible to get this much Omega-3 through diet alone, though I also eat cold water fish once or twice a week. I’m not saying these benefits are guaranteed and universal. I know there are many who scoff at supplements as a solution to anything, and I respect that it’s a personal choice. This is just what I firmly believe fish oil is doing for me. Take it or leave it, but I do hope this information can help you in some small way.

Burpless and Tasteless Fish Oil Tablets In an easy to swallow gel capsule. Not too big like some others

Decided to add some Omega 3’s back in and tried this product. Only taking 1 a day, not 2. The supplement is a little longer than I expected, but no problems swallowing it. Despite it being burpless I did notice a slight fishy aftertaste. Product is OK and price is good, but doubt I’ll order it again.

SO NICE to have a swallowable extra strength fish oil. These are still a bit large, but narrow and very soft. They really help my brain processing with regular use. If only they came in a 120 ct bottle.

Pros: No fishy taste, light lemon taste. No adverse reactions. I do like it breaks down the ingredients on the listing more comprehensive than other brands.
Cons: pills are large if you have a sensitivity to that (doesn’t bother me-very smooth/easy to take)
Results: I haven’t taken long enough to see if there are any benefits from them, so I can’t speak on that.

Wrong description!!! They’re definitely NOT minis!!!

These “mini’s” are about the size of a regular gel capsule vitamin. If you’ve never taken fish oil before, you may or not be aware that most of the time, fish oil pills are HUGE. So these are definitely a more manageable size.
I was a little surprised when I first opened the bottle – the odor was not fishy but what hit me first was that it was sort of a ‘chemical’ smell. That’s when I looked closer and saw they are supposed to be “lemon” flavored and that’s what I was smelling. (For me, “lemon” reminds me of a cleaning product.) Once I realized what it was, I was okay with it.
I have an old back injury that flares up sometimes. I already take a joint supplement. I was looking for something additional to help. Since I began taking these, I haven’t had an achy back flareup. So far so good, it seems to helping inflammation.

Edited to add Jan 2025: I got lax about taking these but started up again a couple weeks ago to try to help dry itchy winter skin. I realized that I think they are helping keep away the winter blues, too. Omega’s are good for brain health, especially perhaps for people who eat plant-based. Seasonal depression started to rear its head around the holidays but since I started taking these plus some extra Vitamin D, I feel a lot better.

Smaller size for my wife who didn’t like the larger pills.
