Easy to swallow capsules, easy to digest with no upset stomach, ingredients seem to be of good quality

This alpha lipoic acid supplement is easy to take and swallow. I really like that there are not artificial color, flavor or sweeteners. This supplement is good for damaged nerves due to high glucose levels. It does help with the pain, numbness and burning that you can feel in the legs or arms. The capsules do not have a weird aftertaste or odor. So far, so good.

I’ve been taking these for a couple weeks now, and though it’s hard with nerve issues to attribute any improvement to one thing, I have noticed a slight improvement related to a damaged nerve in my lip — less numb than it normally is. The capsules are about average size, and swallow easily. And I’ve noticed no odd aftertaste or other side effects. Hopefully continued use will show further improvement.
Honest Reviews by Gia –
About two years ago I started getting a nightly pain in my feet like they were on fire, making it rare for me to get a good night’s sleep. I remember a YouTube video that suggested that taking 300 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid might bring relief, so I am anxious to begin this regiment of ALP from Basic Brands in hopes it will help with my nerve pain. The instructions say to take one tablet (200mg) twice daily with meals.
As it’s too soon to definitively tell whether it’s working for me or not, I suggest consumers do their own research and talk to a doctor about ALP. But if you are like me and suffering from debilitating nerve pain, this supplement (called “Nerves”, BTW) might just prove beneficial.
This review is purely my experience using this product and should not be considered medical advice.

I had never heard of this brand before and was a little hesitant, but after some research felt good about it.
I had never taken anything like this product before either, but I wanted to try it based on my own research.
I had very good results- I’m actually astonished at how good I feel taking this- but everyone’s different and it’s important to check with your provider before trying anything new.
When you first open the bottle there is a strong smell. It isn’t pleasant or unpleasant, a little sulfurous. The capsules themselves do not have any taste and are easy to swallow. The instructions on the bottle say to take with a meal.
Maybe about one quarter of the time that I take these, I get mild sulfur-flavored burps afterwards. Not enough to be bothersome, but enough to make me pause and go “hmm, that’s weird.” If you are sensitive to certain tastes or smells, that may be something to keep in mind.
Overall, despite the strange smell, I absolutely LOVE this ALA and would happily recommend it. This product has made a huge impact on my life.

Pros:
– Alpha Lipoic Acid for nerve and nervous system support
– Small, easy to swallow capsules – no large pills or bad tasting chewable!
– Clearly stated that it is made in the USA
– Clear labeling noting non-GMO, gluten/sugar-free
Cons:
– No details are listed on the product or listing noting whether third party testing for quality/purity/safety has been done.
Bottom Line:
– While there is much to like about this product, I feel that the manufacturer should be more transparent about it’s manufacturing location and process. Third-party validation is key in confirming a supplement’s quality, potency, safety, and overall effectiveness.
