I started taking Alpha lipoic acid for burning mouth syndrome, which is believed to be a neuropathy. It worked! However within a month, I began losing huge amounts of hair. Probably half my head over a period of a few months. Subsequently I read that this is common. It took several months for my hair to grow back and fill in after stopping this. It doesn’t happen to everyone and the benefits of the supplement were great for the pain. The product itself is great. Just be aware of potential side effects/

along with a sensible diet this is aiding im controlling my blood sugar. I wouldn’t compare it to insulin, or use this to replace insulin, but it is beneficial for someone who requires low grade assistance

I’ve been interested in the benefits of Alpha Lipoic Acid for a while now, and I chose this product for the quality and lack of fillers. The price is awesome for the amount that you get. Some supplements have made me nauseous if I take on an empty stomach and I didn’t experience that side effect with this product.
Another reviewer commented on the improvement of her skin, I actually noticed this as well. Especially an improvement with skin tone. I also noticed that while taking this, I don’t get dizzy if I haven’t eaten for a while.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this company and now I’m curious to try other products they sell.

I took one pill and became very dizzy and nauseous. Thought maybe it wasn’t the pill, so I waited a week and then after breakfast took another pill. Same result. Dizzy and nauseous and burning throat all day. Now I wonder where this supplement is made; is it China by chance? I wouldn’t take another pill and am headed for the doctor’s this morning.

We’ve been taking this supplement (and others from Natrol) for many years. We trust this company and believe that we feel better, more energetic, and healthy as a result.
While some will argue that supplements are useless and a waste of money or others may suggest they may even be dangerous, it is a matter of personal choice whether to take supplements at all. In our home we’ve read the arguments on both sides, studied the research,and concluded for ourselves that it’s in OUR best interests to choose carefully, buy only from reputable companies with a track record of quality, and take daily supplements in several categories. Food provides most of our nutrients without doubt, but soils cropped over decades can become depleted of essential nutrients which we know from our own soil analyses; it takes a dedicated soil manager to know and balance it all, You cannot take out in diet what isn’t there in sufficient quantity to begin with. Are we wasting our money? Perhaps. But we’d far rather risk our money now than be disappointed later when the science confirms what we believe, that supplements enhance our lives.
