This HarmoVira Alpha Lipoic Acid with Acetyl-L-Carnitine combines two essential supplements in one dose. It is made with liposomal technology for superior absorption by the body. When I take alpha lipoic acid, I have more energy, and my skin looks better. The package contains two bottles with 60 doses each. This product is lab-tested. The dose is one capsule per day taken with meals. The country of manufacture is not listed. Time will tell if this product works as well as the product I have been taking.

I have a bad nerve disorder and my doctor recommended I try Nurvive. Unfortunately, that product is very expensive and you are only getting a 20 days supply per bottle. I found this product and it has many of the same ingredients and for less money, you get a 120 day supply!
I’ve read that it can take up to 8 to 12 weeks for Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALC) to start producing results, so all I can tell you for now is my initial impressions of the product. The packaging is very good, with a tight seal on the top of the bottle and a tight foil seal. The pills are easy to swallow with no unpleasant smell or taste. The serving size as indicated on the box is 1 pill per day, so you are getting a 120 day supply.
I love that they are made in the USA and have the company information and website right on the bottle. The product is also gluten free. The lot number and expiration date are also printed on the bottle. The expiration date was 33 months out from the date I received it.
I will try to leave an update after taking the full course on my results, but so far everything about the product looks great.

Each capsule is filled to the brim, so there’s no packaging inflation there. However, each bottle is half-empty, which is not ideal, and can be misleading in terms of price/value. More importantly, you could easily double or triple these dosages and probably get much more significant results. When I open a capsule to taste this combo, I am faintly reminded of the sharp, distinctive tastes of ALA and ALCAR, but when I took both regularly (making my own capsules from bulk powder) for chronic fatigue, the tastes were nearly overwhelming, making my urine smell strong and distinct. I’m just saying, there’s a good chance you’re throwing your money away unless you up these doses to much stronger than recommended.
That said, they’re not ridiculously overpriced (currently $18 for the two bottles), and the total combination of ingredients is smart, so I recommend them for anyone who feels they need these supplements at more modest dosages for specific reasons, or who doesn’t mind the price of doubling up. I will keep taking these daily at the recommended dose, and if later I feel they are having a noticeably positive impact, I will come back to revise this review.

These are very functional and I can tell they are working, they are easy to swallow and I take them daily. It comes with two bottles and an awesome deal.
I do notice I have to go to the bathroom more often and there is a change in the color when I go.

I ordered this suppliment based on 2 things…that it was made in the US and it was 3rd party tested. The problem is I can’t confirm any of that. The seller’s Amazon page says “Made in the USA” however, no where else is that stated…it’s not anywhere on the bottle and it’s not in the copy anywhere else.
Also, careful reading shows they are testing the material themselves in their own lab. This is not 3rd party testing. It could be quality control, but 3rd party testing is not done in house…it is done by an outside independent lab (with no axe to grind).
The suppliment could be just fine…exactly what is advertised, but based on label and statements by seller, this seems to be sourced material, checked in house before being bottled and sold. That they claim to have a GMP facility doesn’t mean a thing if the product isn’t actually made in it.
I have taken and have had no ill effects from the suppliment, though unlike the first reviewer I don’t feel any differently.
If this was made in the US and if it really was tested by a 3rd party outside of the company itself I would consider this a good product and sold at a very good price. Because I don’t see any proof except for one statement that it was made in the US and they test it in house (which again is not 3rd party testing) I lowered my rating.

People take Alpha Lupoic Acid for different reasons, but I take them, at my doctor’s recommendation, for restless leg syndrome. Thus far, I’m quite pleased with the results.
Previously, I took them in pill form, and had consistent issues swallowing the large-sized pills. These capsules are reasonably sized, easy to swallow, and the recommended dosage is only 1 capsule per day with meals.
Since I haven’t previously taken Acetyl-L-Carnetine, I’m staying in lose contact with my doctor, who is monitoring any possible health effects. So far, so good. For your reference, these capsules are easy to swallow, made in the USA, and non-GMO.
