I can’t swallow big pills or capsules. I need to pull the capsules apart and stir the contents into applesauce or other food. Unfortunately, these pills have a bitter taste and they taste too bad for me to take them. I gave 4 stars because I use other supplements from this company and their quality has always been good.

Hawthorn extract can be stirred into applesauce. It has an herbal taste.

Gabapentin capsules can not be stirred into applesauce or food. Gabapenton has the worst taste of all pills I have tested. However, Gabapenton comes in a liquid. I add the liquid Gabapenton to some apple juice, then chase it with apple juice. Gabapenton liquid in apple juice reminds me of cough syrup.

I will look for another product that may offer similar benefits as the grape seed extract.

Grape Seed Extract (NOT to be confused with GRAPEFRUIT Seed Extract) is a potent natural antioxidant that studies show has powerful positive effects on cardiovascular health, eye health, and may have some positive effects on cognition. I’ve had a very mild case of attention deficit disorder all my life (which briefly means, I’m a GREAT daydreamer), but I find grape seed extract helps me concentrate during “tough” projects; I really like its “focusing” effect.

I’ve also done extensive recreational research on this supplement, and there are some exciting studies looking at possible benefits for Alzheimer’s patients. It’s also being studied as a possibly powerful maintainer of foveal health (important light sensing cells in the back of the retina of the eye). It also may heip improve circulatory issues, including helping reduce or even heal “spider veins,” especially if combined with oral Vitamin E.

I trust Nature’s Way supplements; they’re an affordable, high quality supplement option & Amazon offers a great price on this grape seed supplement via its Subscribe & Save service. This is one of my foundational daily supplements; I recommend this most highly!

I started using this product years ago for overall health and for whatever reason stopped taking it and then about 6 years ago had a knee injury and I started taking the Nature’s Way grape seed extract 100 mg coupled with 200 mg of vitamin C (absorbic acid). [Note: the manufacturer no longer puts the vitamin C in the product, but I still take the vitamin C.] Within a week my knee pain was virtually gone, blood pressure is good, heart rate is good, and my doctor tells me every year at my annual physical to keep doing what I’m doing. I do also exercise regularly approximately 30 minutes a day alternating between cardio and resistance training and try to eat healthy at least 90% of the time. And most importantly follow the Good Shepherd that laid his life down for the Sheep. One final cautionary note, I would stay in the 100mg range as there are some products out there that are up to 400 mg or more. more is not necessarily better and in fact could be detrimental. If in doubt consult your physician or health practitioner. Hope this helps someone. Be blessed in Jesus name

I take a lot of supplements to maintain my health, reduce aches and pains and such — but this particular Nature’s Way Grapeseed Extract is in a class of its own. I am at the age where my older siblings/relatives began taking blood pressure medications. I am trying to avoid that as long as I can by going the natural route.. After doing a month or so of daily BP monitoring, my my doctor did not think it necessary to be on meds just yet. However, the few times I have seen hypertensive spikes it was hitting about 159/90, which terrified me so I didn’t want to do absolutely nothing. This supplement filled in the gap. Since I began taking this, I have only had spikes that high about 2x per year vs. 5x per year prior to that. (Another supplement that is helpful in this regard is Olive Leaf Extract so when a low sodium diet, exercise and Grapeseed extract no longer work for me, I’ll see how much longer I can go the natural route by adding in Olive Leaf.)

Now to be clear, health supplements are not sold to diagnose, cure or treat any disease. Having said that, I find Grapeseed to be indispensable. (Never want to be without!) I mostly buy my supplements elsewhere, but on this product Amazon always has the best price.

That’s the good news. Now for the bad news. I am a longtime PRIME member. Every 2-3 years, the fees increase even though I don’t make much use of other PRIME features like the streaming service. (Already have too many streaming subscriptions as it is.) So essentially I am paying $135 per year just for the benefit of expedited shipping. During the pandemic, shipping slowed down considerably — but since then it has never fully recovered. About two years ago, I began seeing Amazon hit almost all my PRIME “free returns” with truck fees. Additionally, in exchange for account credits I am asked at checkout to “opt in” to slower shipping. For many items I am willing to accept slower shipping. But supplements aren’t one of them. In this case, this single-item order did not deliver until I placed two orders (the first of which I cancelled after realizing that it had been a week and the Grapeseed Extract had never left Amazon’s warehouse). I placed a new order thinking the holdup on the first one was a fluke, only for the same thing to happen with this purchase.

In total, THREE WEEKS passed and only today did the order status update to provide a delivery date (tomorrow). In revisiting the product page for purpose of contributing this review, I notice that the PRIME tag is on this item it but no longer contains a reference to the 2- or 3-day expedited shipping. Amazon should either restore the PRIME member benefits or remove the PRIME tagging because most of us have come to associate that with expedited shipping, which is no longer necessarily the case. I could have received this faster if I had literally bought it anywhere else online but Amazon.

If it was only this product or order, I wouldn’t mention it as part of the review. But if you are like me and consider this supplement a must-have on a daily basis, how long it takes to ship could mean the difference between running entirely out of your current bottle of Nature’s Way Grapeseed Extract before you receive a new one.

Around the same time I placed this order, I accidentally flooded my bathroom vanity by leaving the sink plugged and the water running (Don’t ask!). All I had in the house to help dry out the area after toweling it dry was a battery operated fan for camping that I bought from Amazon last year (no-name brand out of China). Naturally, the fan malfunctioned despite the use of new batteries and kept shutting itself on as if it was on the “timer” setting when it was supposed to be “continuous on”. I do not live near bricks-and-mortar shopping so it’s often just easier to turn to Amazon PRIME for my day-to-day shopping needs. Well, that was three weeks ago and STILL NO FAN. Amazon didn’t assign a tracking to the Honeywell turbo fan I purchased until a day or two ago. In summary, I don’t know what is going on but my advice to other buyers is to trust the supplement for its many health benefits that can be verified on PubMed and elsewhere — just not Amazon to deliver it (possible exception might be those who subscribe to Amazon auto-delivery) . Fortunately, Nature’s Way is widely available elsewhere.
