I’ve been using this for a few years now and I keep coming back to it because it does what it promises; it firms and moisturizes my skin. I use it after thoroughly cleaning my face both morning and night. I scoop a small amount onto my fingertips and apply to the entire face and neck in light upward strokes. I’m realistic enough that I don’t expect it to get rid of wrinkles or deep creases, but it does moisturize and firm up my skin nicely and I can see a visible difference.
I’ve done a little research to find out how DMAE works. Youthful skin is firm because the muscle fibers under skin are short, thick and taut. As we age, muscle fibers under the skin lengthen and loosen. Skin loses elasticity and becomes thinner. As an alternative to cosmetic surgery, a gentler alternative can be found in DMAE products. Research shows DMAE improves skin tone and increases tensile strength of the skin, suggesting that the topical application of DMAE firms skin and restores elasticity. DMAE has also demonstrated antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, both of which can help visibly slow the aging process.
The DMAE helps visibly firm, smooth and tone skin while replenishing moisture. Fortified with the antioxidant Alpha Lipoic Acid and nourishing C-Ester, this skin-firming product works to make skin firmer and smoother.

This is the main heading for the item I purchased: DERMA-E Firming DMAE Moisturizer Alpha Lipoic Acid & C-Ester, 2oz. It’s still the one in use on the website today. But the actual product I was sent is NOT that, but something else significantly different. It continues to feature DMAE, but Alpha Lipoic Acid and Ester C aren’t mentioned anywhere. Instead, looks like they’ve been replaced by Copper Peptides, Reservatrol and Kakadu Plum.
Frankly, it doesn’t matter how much they may believe that this new formula is even better than the previous one. If you advertise something one way, but then send something different to your customer, that’s a bait and switch, and a really bad business practice.
Don’t remember if this was the case when I purchased this in July, but they’ve since replaced the picture to reflect the actual item. But the main headline product description and “About” section STILL go into detail about Alpha Lipoic Acid and Ester C… no mention of the new ingredients, nor sales pitch as to why the new formula may be better. Why are they advertising this product in such a sneaky way?
I’ve used the DMAE, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Ester C version for more than a decade, and absolutely loved it. Such an excellent and effective product! It’s precisely because of those three particular ingredients that I sought it out in the first place.
Feeling really disappointed in the Derma E Store here on Amazon. I’ll be looking for a new moisturizer from a different company… one that doesn’t deal in questionable business practices.

Zuerst trage ich Retinol von Cosrx auf und nach 40 Minuten diese Creme Derma-E Ultra Lift. Die Haut ist so ebenmäßig, glatt und ohne Ausschläge. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen, Sie werden es nicht bereuen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den positiven Ergebnissen in nur einer Nacht.

I received a sample of this creme in a Target gift box, it’s a box with several generous sample sizes of products that are a mystery until you open it up. I loved this creme from the start. It’s basically unscented but has a pleasant aroma and the results are true. It seems to soak right into my skin and instantly feel indulgent and rich, about 2 weeks later I noticed a definite change in my skin, there were less flaws and my skin maintained a moisturized feel that I hadn’t felt in any other “beauty wrinkle” creme. Ironically when I ran out and went to order it on Target’s website it stated it couldn’t be shipped (but a price was posted at 19.99, plus shipping) plus wasn’t available ‘in store’ at any Target near me. I found it on Amazon and it’s was 15.99 and free shipping with Prime. I did read about people have reactions and for the record I have very sensitive skin, coconut oil causes a rash, certain lotions cause itching and eczema is an issue, but personally I wouldn’t rule out this creme, so far I have had no reactions but understand that everyone can have different issues with skin.

I use this on my neck…as a preventative. I am starting to see signs of aging, but after application of this cream, my skin is smooth and “plumped”. It stays that way for hours. I like to use this cream on my neck in the morning (under sunscreen) and the evening, so the ingredients are on my skin as much as possible. The price is excellent for a high quality product. There is fragrance in this, and fragrance is something I’ve avoided in facial care my whole life. The scent is a light, fresh lavender, and it’s not strong. It has not caused any issues with my skin, but I’ve only used this cream on my neck. It definitely makes my skin look smoother and more supple than other creams make it look.

I’ve used this skincare product for years and alternate between buying it locally and ordering it here online. This latest purchase had tiny clumps. I’m not sure if this is a result of it being old and expired. Perhaps sitting in a warehouse for too long? After applying it to my face and neck, there would be tiny clumps that I’d have to remove from my skin. It was annoying and I’ve never had that experience when buying it locally.

This is the best moisturizer I have ever used, as to the firming effect I haven’t used it long enough yet to find out. What I have noticed is that the facial muscles seem to relax after it is rubbed in. It’s an excellent moisturizer with no greasy after residue. Someone made a comment that it smelled bad, I don’t find this. It has a nice clean after smell to me. It will be my moisturizer of choice from now on and I’ll be ordering 2 next time. The price is reasonable compared with some others I have seen.
