This 5-HTP is a very nice start to starting this supplement as you do not want to start with a stronger one so your body gets used to it. It’s best to start at a lower strength such as this and work your way up. I’m limited to what I can say or else this review won’t be accepted. But I will say that if you look this up and see the benefits, I will say that they are very true for me. Excellent supplement.

I’ve taken a few 5-HTP supplements in the past so I know what effects to expect from it however it does not feel as potent (these capsules are 50mg each which is smaller than a typical dose so I took multiple capsules to match the dose I would usually take) yet it makes me feel really jittery as if I’ve been consuming an excess of caffeine, which I absolutely do not like and which other 5-HTP supplements did not do to me. Also the source of the 5-HTP is typically located on the label but on this product it is not defined. There was actually a label slapped on the outside of the container covering the original label which stated it is derived from Griffonia seed extract but with this label covering it, it’s hard to say where this 5-HTP is actually sourced, and it certainly doesn’t inspire confidence in the product. (see images) It’s worth noting that 5-HTP supplements have been tainted in the past due to poor manufacturing practices, so you should be very particular with where you buy your supplements from. From what I can observe personally I feel that this supplement is not pure, and possibly contaminated. Also, if you read reviews on the internet about these supplements and this company you will see many complaints regarding purity, contamination, and even harm done by these supplements. I recommend avoiding this supplement in particular and I would be very wary of this manufacturer. I am discontinuing this supplement and am considering having it tested. BEWARE.

Amazing 5-HTP supplement
This is an amazing 5-HTP supplement. If you need it you know who you are and why. I’ve had no side effects and no after taste. It has worked exactly as it’s supposed to. I can’t be without 5-HTP and feel good about the manufacturer, as an industry leader.
NOTE : Do not exceed the recommended dose, I think this goes without saying but I’m saying it.

If I’m ever feeling really drained or down, I will try a 5-HTP capsule supplement. I find that on the same day it improves my mood. Results may vary, but for me it really seems beneficial. You get a lot of capsules in a bottle and it only takes one for me to notice a difference. This has lasted me a good amount of time and I find it well worth the cost as a result.

I have taken many supplements from BulkSupplements and I’m always pleased with the quality. The capsules came safety sealed and all of them intact. This did have the effect I expect from 5-HTP on sleep while not producing any side effects. Easy to swallow. Since I only take 50 mg/night, this bottle will last the year and at a good price. Love that the only flow agent/filler here is rice powder. Made in cGMP facility.

Generally speaking, the company selling this is well-respected in the supplement industry. The labeling on this is in line with the company and looks entirely legit. However, somewhere in productions, they slapped a generic 5-HTP label over the original label, which is somewhat suspicious. That said, the description and actual bottle are aligned, and this may just be a packaging decision that is unfortunate.

I have been using bulksupplements for many years now and they have always delivered quality products. These pills are easy to swallow and have great benefits for fitness. I generally take these first thing in the morning and have noticed an improvement in my performance in the gym and somehow less knee pain than usual.
