I was using Solgar, an EXCELLENT company, but I really like this brand of L-Lysine more. Solgar comes in a glass jar, which is nice, but if that doesn’t concern you, this brand is superior.
I prefer this brand because of its strength, sourcing, and label information. The label on this brand clearly states that it is Ethically sourced, packaged, lab tested in the USA, and most importantly there is a GMP certification right on the bottle. They also have a rich family history going back generations that has earned my trust as well.
I also like that while the lid is plastic, it is a flip-top lid which is easier for me to open than the screw top of Solgar.
The strength is a definite plus. I only have to take one a day instead of 2. This automatically qualifies this as a better value than Solgar because I have 180 days’ worth instead of 125 with Solgar.
Highly recommend checking this variety out before spending more with other companies.

L-Lysine is a supplement that I’ve taken for a specific health issue with high hopes. In the past it wasn’t very effective for me and this time is not much different. I can’t say that’s any fault of this specific supplement but more my expectations. After taking this for two weeks I have in my head that this is doing the same as the previous L-Lysine I took because there is some effect, just not a complete fix.
Holiday Pink Prepper –
First to explain, I can’t give complete information about the effectiveness right away. Supplements and vitamins take a while to take effect. If I notice a difference right away, I’ll mention it. I also take supplements so these might work WITH what I’m taking.
This was a new supplement for me. It sounds like it’s supposed to energize you. It gives you many months worth and helps to rebuild your internal areas. A good price if it works.

These L- Lysine, high milligram tablets are easy to swallow. 1000mg each tablet. I take two a day, without having the dread of taking a tablet.
No problem ingredients listed, and so far I feel fine.
These are a great value and the added bonus of easy to swallow and no trouble in any way so far, I’m happy with this order.

Since my doctor suggested L-lysine to help discourage cold sores, I’ve been a fan of this essential amino acid. What I learned is that L-lysine is very necessary for your health, but needs to be added from food or supplementation. In addition to discourraging cold sores, it also helps with the production of carnitine, which helps to convert fatty acidds into energy and also can help lower cholesterol. It has a roll in forming collagen which is important for healthy bones, connective tissues and cartilage.
I was looking forward to recceiving this bottle of L-Lysine, but was disappointed when I saw the size of each pill. They are fairly long and thick. I went ahead and tried to swallow one, but it stuck in my throat. If you have no trouble swallowing big pills, this may work for you as they’re a great supplement and reasonably priced.

Very impressed with these supplements so far. The bottle is a very dark color, preventing light from degrading the contents. The cap had a plastic safety seal on it, and then there was another seal directly on the bottle opening under the cap. Each pill is exactly 1 gram, making it easy to adjust your dosage up to the max limit of 3 grams. Expiration date is well into the future: November of 2025. The pills are a little large, but nothing unreasonable. This single bottle could last for six months–an incredible deal for the current price of $17. I have not been taking them long enough to determine any benefits, but certainly no ill effects so far! Wanted to get this review out to let you know the quality and care of the packaging and that this appears to be a solid choice if shopping around for L-Lysine supplements.

I’ve been taking L-Lysine for a few years. It seems to help my complexion and keep the cancer sores away. I’ve been using another brand, and tho the caplets are the same size, these are much easier to swallow due to the micro coating which makes them smooth and not as easy to stick in your throat on the way down. Mind you these are large, so that matters. Just received this today and it has a 2+ year expiration, so I’m very pleased. Price is good too.
Desert H.E.A.T. –
I didn’t have a good experience with this supplement. Not only for the fact that the bottle wasn’t completely intact upon opening but they caused me to have an upset stomach so it’s not something I would try again for both of those reasons. It happened with an empty stomach but also with food as well. Not recommended from me but thank you.
