This supplement (Beta-Hydroxy Beta-Methylbutyrate) claims to aid in recovery after strength training. If you do a little research you will find that these claims are not totally false but seem to only apply to young previously untrained individuals. Anyway as a 58 year old who has been training consistently for the last 35 years I figured I would try these. I have been taking them for three weeks and really don’t notice anything different in terms of how fast I recover. I will continue to take until the bottle is gone and evaluate again before buying another bottle.

This product claims to help to reduce the breakdown of muscle tissue, supporting muscle recovery and maintenance of your current muscles. If you work out, it should help with recovery after a heavy workout if taken regularly. I like anything that assists me in growing stronger or at least keeping the strength I have. I have M.S. and my muscle strength isn’t the greatest, but I did notice that after I did physical work, I wasn’t as exhausted as normal, which is a HUGE benefit to me!
I rate this supplement of HMB a DEFINITELY BUY IT item!

I work out a ton, and decided to try these to help with my muscles. The capsules are kinda of large but easier to swallow than some others I’ve had. I tried these especially on my heavy lifting days. I felt like I wasn’t hurting as bad or tired, so I like them.

I use my Fit and Focused Hydroxymethylbutyrate primarily to reduce the muscle loss that comes naturally with age, and I’ve been happy with the results, including better and fewer aches and pains. This supplement is often used by bodybuilders, but even those of us who can no longer begin the day with an hour workout routine can obtain many of the benefits through normal activity and three grams of HMB each day. Because muscle mass also burns calories, HMB helps me keep my weight under control. I’m very happy with these HMB capsules – they’re easy to swallow, have no bad taste, and work as they should.

I’m not certain whether this product is actually doing anything, but I really haven’t taken it long enough to notice any effect. One thing that did get my attention was the prominent American flag with “Veteran Owned” and the much less prominent “Made in PRC”. (I red boxed both statements in the picture.) The product may be perfectly fine, but I trust supplements that are made in USA by a contract manufacturer, or better yet, Made in USA by the company that is distributing the product. The statement “Manufactured in an FDA Registered and Inspected Facility” is not that meaningful if the facility is located in the Peoples
Republic of China. There are very few FDA inspectors in China, and problems of lack of access for inspection is just the start of the concerns with PRC sourced products. I also don’t see any indication on the label that the product is Third Party Lab Tested, which would provide some confidence in the product.
The last issue with this product is the statement under WARNING which says “Do not use turkesterone if you are pregnat (sp), nursing, or under 18 years of age.” If I was skeptical about the product before, this only increased my suspicion. (Turkesterone is a phytosteroid which is not HMB.)

I take leucine as an amino acid supplement to support my daily strength training. HMB is a metabolite of leucine and is supposed to be more potent as a supplement. I heard a podcast discussion about it as a supplement and decided to give it a try. Google says that HMB has been shown to preserve muscle mass in older adults. At 44 I guess I am or at least I’m approaching an “older adult”.
I had no adverse reactions to taking the pills and they’re easy to swallow. No one can do a legitamate review of these unless they have an independent lab study them to provide feedback on the content or run a controlled experiment for months or years to provide data on what it did for them.

Let me start by saying that I never thought I’d be writing a review about a supplement with a name that sounds like a complicated chemical equation. But here we are.
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about trying these beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (or HMB) capsules. I mean, it’s not like they’re the most well-known supplement out there. But boy, was I in for a surprise.
After just a few days of taking these capsules, I noticed a real difference in my workouts. My muscles felt stronger and more defined, and I was able to push myself harder than ever before. It was like I had a little superhero helping me out from the inside.
And the best part? These capsules are surprisingly easy to take. I was worried that I’d have to choke down some kind of nasty-tasting powder, but these little guys just slide right down like a greased-up waterslide.
Of course, I should mention that there are some potential side effects to taking HMB. Namely, they can give you some pretty gnarly gas. But hey, if you’re willing to let a few farts fly in exchange for some killer gains, then go for it.
Overall, I’d say these HMB capsules are a hidden gem in the world of supplements. Sure, they may have a name that sounds like something out of a chemistry textbook, but they get the job done. So if you’re looking for a way to take your workouts to the next level, give these bad boys a try. Just maybe don’t take them right before a hot date.
