What matters most to me is that this Pristine’s NAC supplement in made in the USA, is GMP certified, and is 3rd party tested. These are the best indicators of a quality supplement and gives me confidence taking it. The bottle is triple sealed with an expiration date of 09/2026, the capsules are easy to swallow, and there is no bad aftertaste. All of the Pristine’s products I have tried have been high quality and this one is no exception. I take lots of supplements for my general health so it is difficult to say that any one supplement makes me feel different by itself but in combination I feel healthier overall. I trust this brand to deliver a quality product.

After wanting to include NAC into my supplement regime, and researching qualities of it, I believe I have found a good one at the right price!
PRISTINE’S N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC) 600MG ca safety seal and a seal underneath
The capsules are all intact and have that sulfur smell that tells you it’s the real deal
There was no residue on the inside of the bottle
I have added this to my daily supplements and I anxiously await the antioxidant & combat free radical benefits that this is supposed to have, according to some medical research that I’ve read
Non GMO, GMP facility, third part tested with documentation and Made In The USA

This N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC) supplement is aimed at supporting immune health, lung function, and liver health. It is particularly beneficial for those looking to boost their antioxidant intake and improve overall well-being.
It’s made in the USA, non-GMO, GMP-compliant, free of gluten, lactose, soy. Each serving (1 capsule) contains 600mg of NAC, providing a substantial dose to support your health needs.
NAC is known for its ability to boost glutathione levels, a key antioxidant that helps strengthen the immune system. It is beneficial for maintaining healthy lung function, making it a great choice for those with respiratory concerns. NAC aids in detoxifying the liver, breaking down and elimination of toxins, helping to remove harmful substances from the body. NAC has been shown to have positive effects on mood and mental health, making it a valuable addition to your daily routine.
NAC is a precursor to glutathione; glutathione is known as the master antioxidant, produced naturally in the body. By boosting glutathione levels, it helps combat free radicals and reduce oxidative stress.
NAC and glutathione are closely related, but they serve different roles in the body. NAC is an amino acid derivative and a precursor to glutathione. It helps increase glutathione levels in the body. NAC is more stable and bioavailable compared to glutathione, making it easier for the body to absorb. NAC can help improve lung function and reduce symptoms of chronic respiratory conditions. NAC has mucolytic properties, meaning it can help thin mucus, which is beneficial for respiratory health.

I can’t speak to the efficacy (or not) of these capsules as I’m only a few days in. I was a little hesitant to start taking them as the similarly named “NAD+” makes me flush. As far as I can tell, the “N” in NAC denotes acetylation rather than Nicotinamide (Niacin). So far I haven’t experienced any flushing or prickly heat.

I’ve supplemented with NAC for a long time for all the purported benefits. This is a good value for 60 servings given that it is made in the USA using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and is lab tested. I appreciate that the company actually produced and posted the lab results for all to see. The safety seals were intact upon opening and the pills are easy to swallow. Easy to recommend if you currently supplement with NAC or are interested in starting.

I’ve tried a few different kinds of glutathione supplements, including straight glutathione (lipsomal), s-acetyl glutathione, N-acetyl cysteine (with and without glycine). Supposedly your body can’t absorb glutathione and must break it down into precursor aminos. But once that happens, I don’t know what the difference is between taking those precursors individually and taking glutathione. NAC+glycine is the form that’s been studied the most, but considering how much glycine we have in our diet, why not just take NAC?
To be honest, I can’t feel much of a difference between these products. They all – including this one – seem to produce a light relaxing effect. I use this at night to help with sleeping, but also with the hopes that it’s reducing aging to some degree.
I’ve tasted all the powders and this one is much more acidic than the others. It’s actually the most acidic amino acid I’ve ever tasted (versus acetyl-L tyrosine or carnitine). I’m wondering if the acetic acid is fully reacted with the cysteine, but I’d need a lab to verify that.
Despite the acid, I had no indigestion or upset stomach with this. It probably has a low risk of any real downsides.

NAC is one of several supplements I take for my immune system on a daily basis. I take it every morning and I haven’t had a cold in years! This product gets a thumbs up from me for it’s transparency with third party testing, plus it’s made in the USA. Be aware that NAC has a bit of a weird scent to it. I’ve been taking it for so long I don’t notice anymore. NAC is one supplement I will never be without. This is a decent value for 600mg.
