I have been taking L-lysine, Vitamin C, and zinc every night for immune support. I can’t say it works or not, but especially the lysine is gold to me for a certain use that you can research online very easily. In any case, I was sparked when I found this supplement, as it contains all three of the above in very good amounts plus olive leaf and garlic bulb, two ingredients I have tried and really like. This is also a very good price for a one-month supply. You get 90 capsules and the serving size is 3 capsules. One thing I love is that I have been taking, and getting great results from, 1,000 mg. of lysine every night. You can get that from two of these capsules. Granted, you won’t get as much C or zinc, but I get plenty of Vitamin C from food plus other supplements, and I actually worry about getting too much zinc. I think for defense, even 500 mg. of lysine is good. So, on top of the great value, this is a stretchable supply by just lowering the recommended dose, then jacking it back up as needed. Very happy to have found this formula.

While I do not take this supplement on a daily basis, I’ve found that it does wonders during the winter season when the sickies come around. More specifically cold and mouth sores.

My family and I all have need of l-lysine as a dietary supplement occasionally, especially in the winter months, so we’ve tried a bunch of different ones to see what works best for us. This supplement stands out because of the other powerhouse immunity support ingredients included. Not only are we getting the l-lysine we seek, we’re giving our bodies other tools to boost our immune systems. Be aware that the recommended serving size here is 3 capsules, which gives you 1500 mg of l-lysine, whereas many supplements have 1000 mg per serving. Adjust (or not) to your own specific needs! Very pleased with this supplement to support my family’s wellness when we need to boost our l-lysine uptake and lend our immune systems some extra support

Reviewing supplements is challenging due to Amazon’s review guidelines. Here’s what I can tell you about this product: per the label, it is manufactured in New York, so I like that it isn’t coming from overseas. The information label and directions are all in English. The expiration date on the bottle I received is well over a year into the future. There are 90 capsules in the bottle and the recommended serving size is 3, so this is a 30-day supply if you take it per the directions. The safety seal was intact and there is a dessicant packet inside to keep the capsules dry. There is no noticeable smell, and the capsules appear as one would expect.

Lysine Defense manufactured for Futurebiotics in the USA. My first time using this brand but take Lysine regularly. This Lysine was not available on the Futurebiotics website which I always find curious and disappointing. I was checking the website for allergen information as there is no marking on the bottle if this is gluten or dairy free. I always have a bottle of Lysine on hand in the winter to help with cold sores. This Lysine goes beyond my usual basic being a blend of 5 ingredients including Vitamins C, zinc, Garlic and Olive. Not thrilled the zinc is in oxide form but I always find in a blend there’s a compromise. A good price barely $10 for a 30 day supply but the recommended dose is 3 caps. There is an 18 month life / expiration on my bottle.
