I am pretty picky when it comes to my toothbrushes. &It’s not even about being expensive or inexpensive. I use to just use whichever new one we’d have in our toothbrush collection in the closet or whatever was on sale at the store, but lately I realize there’s certain things I actually like and dislike in a toothbrush. This toothbrush pack seemed to have pretty much everything I was looking for from what I could tell. I don’t really like rubber bristles, and these don’t have any rubber, which is one of the main things I start with. I also like soft vs medium or stiff bristles because I have receding gumlines and I don’t want to cause even more damage to them. I like an easy to hold handle and a somewhat slim, or an angled/pointed brushhead because I have a small mouth and it seems like I get a better fit and reach around my mouth. I also like when they have long bristles that can get in between my really tight teeth. And if I find all of these features with a back tongue scraper, then that’s just a plus. These seem to fit the bill. I specifically remember thinking to myself how much I loved the last two new toothbrushes I got out during my first use with them, but unfortunately both of those were either discontinued or not sold retail, so I had to start my search. I will say that I didn’t have that same immediate thought with this toothbrush, but I do like it, and will likely order them again because of all of the other positives, as well as the overall value.
The one negative is that these are a little stiff, which is good for a new brush, but I do wish these were a bit softer, and that the bristles would separate better and go in between my teeth a little bit more. And honestly, that’s probably the actual reason that the wow factor didn’t hit me with the first use. It’s now been about 2 weeks and the bristles haven’t changed. I don’t expect them to get softer or anything, so the last thing for me to comment on will be how long these last and how long until the bristles flare out, stop cleaning, and need changed. &I will try to remember to update once I know how long they’ll last.
It took me longer than it should have to decide on these, and I don’t regret my decision. I know these definitely won’t go to waste. I hope my experience and these pictures help you decide if these are a good fit for you.
