Having well water with a softener treatment system we have dealt with washer funky smell occasionally and decided to buy a washing machine rub cleaner. Researching all the products this OXYClean rated well so we bought it. The first tub wash using this honestly did have stronger fresh scent of the cleaning product. It works. The residue gone from top loader, stainless tub shines, 4 pack is a great value and using every 30 days I noticed that second cleaning with OXYClean has the fresh scent but was no longer excessive in laundry room being first floor. Probably just had really bad buildup with mildew whatever lingers in washing machine barrel.
If you have a sensitivity to scented products this will probably not work physically for you with that intolerance. However if you don’t have allergic/scented perfume type issues this product is great.
First cleaning with OXYClean was amazing to see there was residue to wipe after initial 1st use. But 2nd & 3rd did not. OXYClean works fantasticicly for monthly tub cleaning when the washing machine begins getting THAT smell. Following instructions for use and using monthly it has worked for our needs. Especially as saying residue buildup. Really satisfied with cleaner and continuing to buy use for washing machine tub use maintenance.
Especially when washing pet bedding, blankets,heavy soiled work, garden clothing from everyday family life.

The product worked so well for me that it spurred out chunks of lint whatever else nasty that was inside our washing machine, which eventually clogged our drain pipe. I’m happy the fix the drain outside knowing that my washing machine is now cleaner inside.

We have always heard that you should clean your washing machine on a regular basis. Otherwise there will be a backup of unclean water that was trapped and prevented from leaving the exit hose.
After adding a tablet from the washing machine packet, I could tell a difference after the first tablet. The residue that was beginning to buildup was gone. And the tablets are so easy to use, drop one in and everything is perfect. The cost is more than okay for what these tablets do.
There is a shine to our washing machine now, and no stickiness at all. I am so happy that we happened upon all of the cleaner tabs for all appliances. We definitely use them and love them because of what they do,

If you have a stinky washing machine and/or if you feel like your clothes aren’t smelling fresh after they’re washed, buy this product because it fixes that.
Some comments re: the folks giving this a low rating because:
1) The product clumps in your HE washer’s liquid detergent dispenser – Well, per Step 2 on the package (see my photo), this is a powder cleaner that is supposed to be dumped directly into the drum. Don’t worry about it falling into the little holes. It’s gonna be okay; it’s gonna do what it was designed to do. If you put it in your HE washer’s liquid dispenser, you didn’t follow the instructions, & it’s gonna clump up and not work as advertised.
2) The product’s odor – well, the drain pipe on my HE washer smelled like raw sewage (wife’s words) when I started a wash cycle. I thought a “washer cleaner” was a little silly (aren’t I cleaning it every time I run a load of wash?), but I have seen the light. After several years of use and literally hundreds (if not 1000+) of washes, the drain pipe smelled like rotten eggs and my wife wanted to call a plumber because the smell was so bad she thought our house’s drain was backed up. I do the laundry in the house, and I’m cheap, so I thought I’d try a cleaner first, and this OxiClean cleaner resolved the odor AFTER ONE TREATMENT. I use dye- and odor-free detergent, so I’m not a total fan of its fragrance (side note: do y’all who use detergent with scents actually LIKE smelling like Gain or Tide all day, like it’s some sort of cologne/perfume? This confuses and fascinates me, but I digress…), but it goes away after a wash or two. My washer no longer smells like sewage, and we didn’t have to hire a plumber, so I’m grateful for an inexpensive and effective fix.
My washer stopped smelling like American politics after I used this product. In fact, it went to having no odor at all, which is what I wanted. I followed the instructions and used it once/week for 3 weeks just to ensure I truly got all of the stank out, and I believe I have, so I’m thrilled. Not sure a once/month cleaning is necessary, since I went years without cleaning my washer, and because I’m cheap, but I think I’ll probably use this seasonly/quarterly to prevent “THE SMELL” from returning to home. If you finish reading this review and still put this powder cleaner in your liquid dispenser, you should run for office because you’ll likely win… but I won’t vote for ya.

It removed a lot of the residue from the rubber ring on my front loading washmachine. Easy to use just follow the instructions. It removed a lot of the smell too. It performs as advertised. Good product for your money.

Just got done with my first pack. It really seems to help break down the lint and what not that gets stuck in my washer/dryer combo. I have an LG front loading washer/dryer combo and it commonly doesn’t dry clothes that well as things get clogged from lint (and sometimes gets a bit stinky). I was on the verge of calling maintenance at my apartment to fix the “clog” but ran one more tub clean with one of these in it and it seemed to do the trick. Plus it smells A LOT better. Stocking up!
