Ammonia-free Windex has replaced most of the other cleaning products we use. It was recommended for use on our wood floors by the contractor who built our home, but we also found it to be an effective way to clean our quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and of course windows. It has a pleasant smell which is different from traditional Windex and much better than other cleaners I’ve used. I just wish it was more widely available!

The Windex Crystal Rain cleaner comes in a standard spray bottle. Its formula is ammonia-free, which significantly reduces any harsh odor.
Now, let’s get to the practical side! During testing, this cleaner effectively removed mysterious spots and fingerprints from bathroom mirrors and window glass. The spray distributes evenly, though I think the droplets could be a bit finer. After wiping, the glass dries very quickly without leaving any streaks or residue, which is crucial for mirrors, where every streak is visible. As for the scent, it’s light, fresh, and lacks any strong chemical smell—though, of course, it’s not Chanel No. 5.
In conclusion, this glass cleaner is a reliable and effective product that not only cleans glass surfaces without streaks but also seems to give them an extra shine.
